Let me just state this for the record:
I will wait to see Seeker post a pic before deciding if she gets my vote in the runoff.

Obviously only a few people heard me. I guess our votes don't count.

I''d also like to point out that no one has a majority of the votes here (51%) and we will need a simple system that slims down the # of candidates and/or institues some form of electoral system.

Further, we have no constitution. We kind of need that you know...

I don't understand why you would need 51%?? Isn't it he (or she) who has the most votes that wins? (Well, nevermind, I guess the last presidential election shot that theory to hell! ;) )

I'm parroting the American system where 1 candidate must have 51% of the electoral votes in order to win. It was instilled partly for fairness between states so that the president didn't just prefer the top 5 states or so and screw the rest.



I'd also like to point out that thbis election was rammed through without all having an opportunity to express their views and attempt to run. Whoever wins this is NOT MY PRESIDENT. It's obvious the results were rigged anyway. My vote is jut thrown away and discounted because I screwed up. This is a sad, sad day in the history of our forum and this thread.

And as far as the voting for the wrong candidate...hey, the people in Florida expressed the same concerns you did, what was it the rest of the country said??? I believe it went something like, "if your stupid enough to vote for the wrong candidate, maybe you shouldn't have voted in the first place".

Unfortunately the nomination deadline has passed, but maybe you could get on the final ballot as somebody's running mate.

As for the 51%, I agree with you. If you read the whole thread you would find somewhere that this is NOT the final vote, it is merely a primary election to determine the final two candidates.

You are right tho about the votes being rigged. I set it up so that you would vote for whoever I wanted, that way I actually get two votes instead of one.

What about if ILTU posts who he intended to vote for, then we can strike his vote from Ya_know's column and place his vote next to the one he meant to pick. That sounds fair to me. As a presidential candidate, I feel that it is imperative that the peoples voice be heard. Long live a government of the people and by the people. And by golly thats how I would runs things as president! VOTE: WEBHEAD

Either way, as long as this doesn't get corrected, whoever DOES win will have won a tainted victory and will have to live with it. :)

This poll is based in the good 'ole USA buddy. In case noone told you, this is the land of the fine print. Ya know is correct, it's right there in post #1 and is even capitalized. This will hold up in any internet court
