Learn us a lesson! Did you get the Flintstone model 3000 brake kit?
Brembo kits...lots of websites have them. It uses the stock calipers, and comes with bigger rotors (discs) and the hardware to re-mount the calipers. There were also the racing kits that looked real mean (and cost nearly 2 grand)
I don't really have the bucks to do a brake upgrade and get new tires now, though, so I think I'm going to get a set of OEM rotors and new shoes for now.
One thing interesting that I found: according to a TSB, the brakes tend to squeel badly at low speed (as mine do) because the calipers and mounting hardware can achieve natural frequency during low speed, light braking. :eek:

Was there any recall for the TSB you referenced?

That's for the specific car. There wasn't a recall, as its not really a serious issue, but they did list a repair in that TSB. I think they would perform the work under warranty....if I didn't have 76,000 miles on the car.Quote:
