Teamspeak Setup

Download and install the Teamspeak Client (from http://www.goteamspeak.com/news.php - quick links on the right side of this page)

Using the CONNECT option from the CONNECTION menu in Teamspeak, you’ll access the LOCAL ADDRESS BOOK.

Right-click on SERVERS and choose ADD SERVER.
Give the server the name of your choice and then click on it to access its settings.

In the fields listed, enter your account information as it was given to you (the IP address of the server has been removed, but you should already know what it is from the Phantoms of War Message of the Day. Send me a private message if you need it again). Please use the nickname as your login name, if you can.

I checked out the other 2 accounts I had requested and they work fine.

Hey guys. Hope all the Americans out there had a good Turkey Day. I was on a lot this weekend and no one was around :( Anyway, I wanted to quickly lvl Carb to get to 34 for the respec. So now I have 8 bars to go for that. There is just so much I want to change... Anyway, the plan is to be to 34 by this coming weekend. Needless to say, my fixation on badges has abated and now I'm purely focused on this respec. Once I get this guy to 34, I have a def and blaster I would like to play with. And this time I'm being much more careful as they lvl. Hero Planner is my buddy now.

Oh yeah, can I please be a Sargeant? I'm not interested adding a whole bunch of players, I just wanna be one. Pretty please... please, please, please! Come on! I'm a good guy, and people like me. My mom says I'm a swell lad. Ok, done beggin.

I'll promote you to sargeant (can't believe we didn't do this sooner, actually :p) and then you can invite Fracas into the PoW SG for me.

I want this alt to eventually become my main (when I can no longer find a use for Stalemate or he reaches 50), so levelling him with the help of the SG is going to be much easier. ;)

And while we're at it, I nominate Aumakua to be promoted to General. I think he's earned it. :thumbs:

Seriously, I'm 100% behind the idea and will go ahead with it this evening.

That way, Aumakua can also edit the Message of the Day, promote and demote as necessary when Stalemate isn't on.

I haven't been on much lately, but I'm going to try to play tonight.

I'm still a lowly 31. :cool:

I want to get on tonight, but just learned of 3 things that must be done this week, and I only have 3 evenings to do them, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to... :(

Yeah, Sparky's just a little bitch that follows me around. That would be a sucky alpha strike. I've got Thunderous Blast coming to me pretty soon. :D

I basically have the option to slot for endurance or slot for damage. I'm thinking of slotting for endurance so that the mobs are totally drained out and can't attack.

I have never seen a foe not be able to attack - even when their END bar was completely black.

You might want to look at that more closely ebfore you 6-slot it. ;)



The herding and the wiping out of large mobs will be fun. :D

The can still do low end attacks like brawl, but they won't be able to stun, sleep, blast etc.

I don't think anyone tolf them about that, 'cuz they still chain those on Stalemate even if their END bar is empty. :mad:

I cancelled my CoH account last night for WoW. I have till the 15th of December before it expires and you may see me on a few times before then. But most of my attention towards online games has been taken up by WoW.

Had a wonderful time playing with you guys. If I get tired of WoW I know where im heading back to...

You were a lot of fun to play with, and I really liked having the AoE attacks available when Stalemate and Diverrr duoed. :cool:

BTW, to answer the question, I'm not switchning.

Even when Marvel releases their own MMORPG, I won't be switching unless it's really, really, really good. And even then I'd have to think long and hard about it.

Sorry about last night guys. Got distracted by my damn real life. Probably won't be able to get back on for an extended period until Thursday evening. Must get to 34. I have such the build set up for Carb after the resepec. One thing I've learned about my Scrapper is that its all about End conservation. I just keep running out. My attacks will be basically the same, but my defense will change significantly. Can't wait to see how it works out.

Hasten/Stamina and re-slotting of Temp Invul, Invincibility and Unstoppable?


We'll just have to stand back so the debris doesn't stain our supersuits. :p

Hasten/Stamina will be significantly boosted and I will be putting the majority of my Enh in non-endurance draining defenses. Such as Element resistance, Damage resistance, etc. Also, going to some defensed-based jumping powers to avoid being held or slept. That's the plan, at least for now.

Want some advice from a guy who Hero Planner'd his Invulnerability toon 7 times for respec? :p


Combat Jump and Acrobatics will definitely help for sure, but not as much as Unyelding Stance or Unstoppable would (my fav out of the 2 only anti-hold powers).

If you have Invincibility, 3-slot it with ToHit (more makes no difference). Mine is only 2-slotted and I can take on +4 mobs.

Personally, I came to the conclusion that Resist Elements was not all that useful, as the "elemental holds" are not seen as element-based attacks. BTW, electrical blasts are considered "energy". I took ResPhysDam and ResEner only because I had to. I put only 2 slots on those. Scrappers have it different though.

As a note to all, I will be playing SLIGHTLY less now. I've been ignoring the kid for the game and I need to do a lot of stuff with her while the sun is still out so only expect to see me at night now. She's got a lot of friends but she never goes to see any of them. I'm going to pick up the slack a bit I guess. I'm not leaving, I'm going to try and play as much as I can. I just might miss a day or two here or there. Also, when my GF comes home from work, I'm bailing immediatly after the end of the mission we are on. I never get to see her and it's depressing.

There are some decent controllers on the team now too. You guys need to check out Gazoo. His holds are nice and he has decent bubbles too (and he seems pretty cool). When on, if you see a lower level member please make sure to invite them. Get them leveled. Get used to having them in the group and them used to our group.

I think I'll be on tonight after 10 and on until midnight.
