In Toronto, they have shut down all the schools, stopped all outgoing flights, started evcuating major office towers downtown, the CN Tower is closed, most people are being sent home, all the planes that have no place to land are being routed here.
I doubt that Canada will be targeted, but this is being done to quell the panic that is starting to rise.

Ladies and Gentlemen today is Tuesday September 11, 2001 A Day that will Live in Infamy. Today, not a nation, but a terrorist ideological group of zealots has declared war on the United States. My heart goes out to the victims and their families of this tragedy. Kymera I can't imagine your horror as you watched the events of this morning unfold! My many, many, many thanks go out to the brave heroes of the New York City and Northern Virginia Fire Departments, Police Departments, Rescue Squads, Emergency Room Nurses and Doctors and those good people who braved the destruction to save those they could!

I'm with Texas Joe... Neuromancer flame edited out to avoid offense... but how many people were convinced that the Oklahoma City bombing was foreign terrorism, hmmmm? Nope, just some PO'd ex-military dropouts.
The US has, for many years, killed people that had no quarrel with the US. We, the US, bomb the hell out of other countries, occassionally accidentally hitting innocent embassies, cities etc. Why do we do it? To protect our beliefs and our standards. How is it that we can be so certain that we are RIGHT. Now, someone is trying to tell us we are not right... hmmmm... do you suppose they are trying to protect their beliefs??? No.... according to the military mentality that the US is always right and when we kill we only kill the bad guys, well, then we should just wipe out the palestinians...
I'm not trying to start a flame war but this is ridiculous. We cannot act against foreign soil without killing more innocents. Exactly how is this justified in anyone's mind. (Metallica's song fight fire with fire is not a valid answer.)
The world does not turn but for war. War is an incredible industry and the power to make a fortune off of military weapons sales, fuel, food, standard trade, etc is in the hands of the government, the same class of people who own the majorities of the corporations involved. This is sick, this is real, and now, we are paying for what our military and government have done in order to increase their paychecks and budgets.
I pray to the friends and family's
If it is one group or person, let us (USA)handle it.
If it government funded attack, I will fly the first plane (if the USAF will let me)

Europe stood by while Chrstians killed Moslems in Bosnia. The US came in to clean their backyard. The Pope protested bombings the US was carrying out (against Christian troops).
What of our innocents in the Towers.
Isreal got tough after the 1974 Tel Aviv Airport bombings whcih killed women and children.

On this day the Camp David Accord was signed. It was some type of political agreement with Arab nations. I don't know the details.
