A co-worker of mine recently brought his Delta Force (the original) CD in to work. If I had that game at home, I'd never sleep again!
My vote goes towards UT and Starcraft, both for their play. Quake 3 looks cool, but I hate how the game plays.
I like RedAlert 2, Westwood C&C, Starcraft, WarCraft, CounterStrike, Unreal, Quake 3. :D
I would have to vote for Duke Nukem 3D - that game was a lot of fun. I just love the Duke quotes like "Hail to the king, baby" or "Nobody steals our chicks - and lives" Ya it's kinda cheesy compared to the latest and greatest, but so what...
You dont need skills on any certain game to like it.... the game play has to be there.Quote:

UT is all about the eye candy, Q3 is all about the feel for the game. UT is all about the horsepower. Q3 does awesome on my K6-2 500 MHz/GeForce. And the main thing that extends the life on a game are the mods....

When you can get your wife hooked on a game (and she wasnt a big gamer before she met me...), then the game has to be good!! ;)
I currently have my wife hooked on Quake III, The Sims, and she is starting to dabble into Black and White. :D
No, UT is not about the horsepower. The reason it doesnt run too good is cos you have an Nvidia card. The UT graphics engine was designed from the Unreal engine which means that it runs best on a 3dfx chipset card (Voodoo2, 3, 4 ,5). UT runs SWEET on my laptop, and that is saying sumthing.Quote:

Way back when UT was designed, everyone knew the GeForce was superior to the Voodoo chipset. So..... with Unreal 2 on the horizon, and Voodoo dead..... I guess the GeForce is the last choise. ATI.... bah.... its just a matter of time before they are alos assimilated.Quote:

deus ex and half life are the best single player fps's. counterstrike and tfc are my fav multis, though i really havent gotten a chance for anything else.
i really hope that they come out with deus ex 2 or half life 2 soon. half life esp., cause with all the mods and such for the original, the second id expect to be even better. (and hopefully ill have a t1 by then too...good old college :) )

best by far game I have played is Wheel of Time, graphics are just incredible! And there's a story line too :-)

Fav RTS: Myth 1 and Myth 2, these are 2 equally awesome RTS games. Starcraft is fun too :cool:
