C'mon Clam, you gotta have a better response than that. Are you comparing Hussein to Dubya? First of all, Dubya doesn't put his people in torture chambers. Second, Dubya doesn't chill in his palace, and live the good life while his people live in poverty. Third, we don't need to ask Dubya nicely to leave because in 2004 we're gonna VOTE for him to leave. Iraq never had that option with Hussein.

I'll give you one out of three on that one. Dubya DOES chill in his palace and live the good life while a huge percentage of his people live in poverty, and you want me to believe that the 2004 election is gonna be 100% legitimate and above board, just like the last one was? :D :D :D

Dude, you are Canadian, get over it. I am not a huge Bush supporter, but damn get over the election business. It isn't even your county, it is ours. If butthead had one his own state, Florida wouldn't have even mattered, as is, he lost, using our system.

Also, big difference between a president recieving a set salary and living in the White House in a free and capitalistic society, and a despotic terroristic ruler that full out steals the money for himself building multiple palaces with government money for himself. The Bush wealth is completely seperate from what he is gaining as the president of our nation.

Plus, if there are people in poverty here, it is with their own doing. No ifs, ands, or buts, this is the land of true opportunity, you just have to work for it, unlike in many socialistic societies out there. Everybody here has a choice, there are millions of chances to improve if you are willing to try it.

I didn't vote for Gdbya or for Gore (I voted for Harry Browne), but Gdbya did win 271-266. As Cleetus said if Gore had won his home state of Tennessee, Florida would have been moot. Geez he lost West Virginia which has only gone Republican a couple of times in the last 40 years and he lost Arkansas which was Bill Clinton's home state.

Yes, it is offensive that people out there will not take what is in front of their noses, mix it in with just a little elbox grease and get themselves out of poverty. You see, I am an old school democrat, I believe in giving someone that helping hand in making themselves better, then they have to do something with that, a little hand to help you up but then you have to do the rest.

As we should also do with Iraq, give them that hand, then the people of Iraq need to do what is best for all of them, and learn not to allow single people to gain so much power over them. Hopefully it will be a spreading change all over the mideast, a much needed change that frankly has never really happened, ever.
