I dont think that Canada has to worry too much about a standing military because of the treaty with the US. Canada knows that if they are attacked the full weight of the US military will come crashing down on the aholes who attacked our great beer making buddies to the north.
Now for canadians in WWII, if I remember correctly, they took some of the heaviest casualties during D-Day. The numbers were hidious. But they kept fighting till the end. For that alone they get a big big :thumbs:
