These are shocking events, just becoming known to Australians as we wake to the news reports. My heart goes out to all those affected, many in Aus will be praying for you. Any decent person will be sickened by actions like this, it seems like a disaster movie.

The Dems claimed responsibility, but they don't have the resources to carry out something of this size (so says many news sources).
More likely it's Osama bin Ladin.
I couldn't believe that this had happened when I first saw it. I woke up this morning and went into the bathroom, feeling fine. Suddenly I felt like I was going to be violently ill and my skin was really hot. I went to lie down for awhile and then I felt okay so I went to class. After class at 11 o'clock I found out what happened. The first plane hitting the building corresponds almost exactly with when I felt sick. The entire world ground to a standstill and everyone was watching it on TV. I cannot believe that something like this would happen in our country, that is supposed to have technology and military advancements to protect against just such events. There are some very very sick people out there in the world that have no cares about human lives. Thousands and thousands of innocent people died today, and I have the feeling that this is not over yet. Hopefully things will not escalate into a full scale war, but if we go out and retaliate against these terrorists I have the feeling that their countries are not going to be too happy about that and will fight back. Kymera, I would never be able to be in your position. It was terrible enough seeing it on TV. If I was there in real life I probably would have thrown up or had a heart attack. It's very scary considering that I was in Washington DC only a month ago and I once wanted to live there--I love that city but there is no way now.

The only problem with staging an event like this is that we will find out who did it, and that entity will be wiped out with extreme prejudice. It would be suicide for a business to try to do something such as this...only Islamic dissidents are insane enough and have a high enough disregard for life to carry out something like this.
Well the networks have been wrong so much already that I have noticed. I'll wait until Bush says "Read my lips: No more [enter terrorist group here]" and hopefully follows through swift & just. (a rope and a rat would do for those bastards in on it)
On the subject of bio-weapons, I am not sure that an agent could have survived in the heat of the blast. They still could have delivered biological payloads, but I think they would have had to have been delivered before the crashes. We probably would have heard about that by now if it would have happened.
Maybe it was the Empire State Building's plan... But really, this seems like someone who wanted to get our attention. Some more dates:

I don't think we're retaliating in Afghanistan...the explosions are on too small a scale. The Secretary of Defense and the President will speak fairly soon, though, so we should have some news.
Just wanted to say that I am sickened that something like this has happened. My heart and prayers go out to these people and their families. I doubt that I will get very much sleep tonight....just my thoughts.

Of course the really pitiful thing is that those responsible when caught will say that they are ready to die, and that if we kill them, it wont really make any difference. So what do we do? I say that we catch them, and torcher them live on television. make them PAY for what they have done. Start small like pulling out all of their body hairs one at a time. Then, we could do cigarette burns. Then break the toes and then fingers. Well, I am sure that we could think of other ways to make them pay. Death is too good for them!

This is truly a sad day. We can't let this weaken the entire nation. It has scared alot of people, and rightfully too.
As the pointer narrows down to who is responsible for this, the only thing to do is punish them full force. Ossama Bin Lauden (everyone knows who this is without me spelling this demons name properly) is looking more and more like the one responsible for this. He slipped away the last time he tried to do something to the World Trade Center (and for those who think Bill Clinton was a good president....)....
I am just stunned and numb.
Lets just hope once they find out it was Bin Lauden, we dont let him go and he gets everything he absolutely deserves.
AND, lets not forget those who cheered this action. I already seen a news story saying that "they are considered Americas enemy".

Well, I thinks this thing is just the start of it because with the virtual distruction of the world trade center "Money" and the attempted distruction of the pentagon "millitary", I thinks it's just the start point of something a hell of alot greater and that scares me. It was EXTREMELY well planned and EXTREMELY well executed! 3 out of 4 targets! bin laden has allready stated that it wasn't him. And I belive him. He wouldn't be that stupid! Sadly, not only is it apparently tru that 200 firefighters and EMT are missing since after tower 2's upheaval, there are also 78+ police officers from NYC PD and Metro missing as well. God Help Them. I pray for their lives and the lives of all the victims of this horrific attack. =*(

Many of us forget about the 200 year war. Who would benefit the most if we were to retaliate against Afghanistan? Israel? They are a Nation who we believe to be our freinds. There's so many possible agressors all we can do is speculate on who's at fault. We as a nation have stuck our noses into so many different countries businesses that we've pissed somebody off real bad.
Even if it were BenLaudin, how would our Nation execute a strike against him, where is he? Should a country which is now his home be punished for his terroristic tactics. It doesn't take a country to HiJack a plane and force its pilot to crash into a building. It could be a force of 10 terrorists for all we know, for all we know they could all be dead now.
I can't believe how many people believe this would be a cause for war when we know so little about the aggressors. All Major Nations are on our sides for what ever action we wish to take, so lets make sure we take the right action.
Also, lets not forget BenLaudin is a BILLIONAIRE, so if he wanted to do some serious damage to the US / NY, the EAST Coast could've been fried. Remember, Nukes were for sale in the Mid-East after one powerful Nation broke its country up into many little ones, everybodies got some now over there, even Madus. So if we do take action, we better make sure it's the right one.

As far as I know it was not Bin Lauden in the first attempt on the WTC. Most evidence points to Iraq and our "dear" friend Hussien. As some one who has willing put my life on the line for the United States of America and having family memebers in the WTC today, no one is more disgusted at the events that took place today. But let me also say that now is not the time to make decisions. I recall an anti-terrorist bill that tried to make it through congress when the first WTC bombing took place. It was the most terrfiying think I've seen as an American citizen. We can't let anger and fear dictate how we live. America is the greatest country in the world for a reason.
