Side note, I have a 5th level defender with psionics and empathy so I can begin to build her up in case we need another healer. After I hit about 15th or so, my bubbles should be to the point where they protect us so much we may not need more than 1 healer no matter what we take on.

And yeah,.. that would be cool Silencio. What kind of Defender are you planning on creating? Are you sure you want to be a Defender? It would be nice to have as many blasters as possible in addition to the tanker, controller.
Ya need any special type of character? The only guy I have right now is a lvl 15 Blaster, but ive been thinking about starting a new one...
I just created war.Kurtz on protector. He's a ff def. I thought about a blaster but i've already got a couple.. I'll be on later.
Here's my vision of a superior team (based on some strategy I've read and my own personal experience)...
1-2 Tankers: I kinda like the idea of 2 tankers to keep heavy aggro going in one spot so the villains don't start wandering around sneaking up on people.
1 scrapper: Someone to help out with the melee. The tankers will keep heavy aggro in the middle, but scrapper deals more melee damage and can significantly help chop down LT's/Bosses. Also a scrapper is important to aggro any potential villains that are coming up on a defender.
2 blasters: Blasters have vision and can see the fight and deal punishment from range. Blasters will be a big part of pulling villains from a large high lvl mob.
1 controller: Enemies that can't move are much easier to destroy.
1-2 Defenders: I like the idea of having a defender near the point of heaviest aggro healing tankers/scrappers and one in back healing blasters/controllers.
That combination forms (imo) a perfect 8 man team.
Thats a good team. Tankers and scrappers are interchangable though and I'd rather have 1 tank, 1 scrap and an extra blaster mixed in so the enemies drop like flies. I'm on as Aumakua for most of tonight.
Can't make it tonight... I wish I could have been so Stalemate's level 9 could have been upped a bit.
I added that power where all the team members benefit from extra damage. :cool:
This game is impressing the heck out of me. Honestly, the last time I enjoyed a game so much was with Quake 3.
I teamed up for my last 2 missions and really appreciated having a healer back me up when I was wading into the action.
Got JohnnyStorm up to lvl 9 tonight. Should be no problem to lvl up to 10 tomorrow and get that SG started. I'm thinking of calling it "Hammers of Justice" instead. Thoughts?
It's amazing how much attention you get when your character is one of the members of the Fantastic Four. I have gotten soooo many team invites, SG invites and people "tell"ing me stuff. "Johnny Storm is cool!" You know, stuff like that. I even had these two characters ask me to help them with a RP video they are making. They filmed me blasting some villains and talking to Dr Doom and stuff. Trip out! I'll see if I can get permission to link the video here. They have something started already and it's pretty damn cool.

Sil was on with his wife. She's got a good fire blaster and he's got a defender. Both 6th.
Evenings are going to be harder for me this week, my daughter visiting with us until at least the weekend, but if you guys need a tanker I'm definitely interested.
I was on basically all night. I'm trying to hurry up and lvl him up to 10 so I can start the SG. After that I'll just go a normal pace. Keep in mind, the name is "JohnnyStorm" all one word. There might be other similar char names floating around.
I actually forgot to update the first post with user names. I will do that tonight for sure. But really it's no big deal because I'm going to get the homepage started this weekend and link it in my signature here. Then we can go to that for info instead of this thread. :)

Io Dinah is a level 7 defender with Healing powers, so I'm in if you need the healer. Otherwise I'll have to start over with a different class. If you see Buzzerbeater on (my main char) than give me a tell that you want to play with the lower levels. If I'm not already on a mission, I'll log the other char and we can have some fun.
P.S. Unlike in real life, my char has a sweet ***.
What are the colors going to be? Pistachio and dark green? :uke:
For the colors, I was thinking hot pink and purple polka-dot with lime-green stripes would work. Thoughts?

Btw,.. I haven't created a webpage yet. I discovered I didn't have dreamweaver on my PC and I was too lazy to install it. So I'm lagging a bit on it. I think if enough interest is shown, then I'll be more motivated to do it. And interest isn't just saying, "yes I'm interested" ;)

Btw,.. I've been starting teams lately and practicing being a team leader. It's tougher than it seems to organize and lead a good team. I'm slowly getting the hang of it though. Have any of you done any team leading yet? It's pretty cool if you get people who already know whats up. Like blasters pulling, defenders healing, tankers aggroing, etc. Then you can just go around kicking azz without having to say much. Rocks! :D

Ur a tanker right? Even tankers can only take so much punishment and they are too slow to destroy a whole group of villains on their own (well not really, but it sure takes a long time). I know this because I've been tanking for about a week now after having been a blaster for so long. Man,.. it takes for-freeking-ever to lvl up as a tanker. As a blaster, I can just go around destroying everything in site with the greatest of ease. Tankers are great to use in team situations, but solo,.. forget about it.Quote:

Yes yes,.. we will all have to work on our coordination systems. This SG idea seems like a great idea, but we are all on such opposite schedules that it's like impossible to all get on CoH at the same time. Well, if it works it works,.. if not, then oh well. :)
What really matters is that we're all playing it and having fun! :)
Almost completed a solo mission today so I could reach LVL 11, but I didn't have flight, nor hover, and couldn't quite reach the upper areas where I could complete the task. :(
Still have 2 little bars to fill for 11, so I'll do that tonight.
