Damnit! You all MUST get up to lvl 24 quickly. Put away your wife, your kids, your jobs, your lives. CoH must take full priority. Lots of coffee, crack if you have to,... play the game 24 hours a day. No sleep. YOU MUST HURRY!!! Wrbby wants to do the trials with PoW.Quote:

That and I'm really POed that they nerffed MY smoke when it was the smoke grenade that was a problem. WTF?

Yeah,.. you're not kidding! I did the cape quest last night (or at least tried to). Spent about an hour traveling around doing alll the retarded trivial crap JUST to be able to at least get to the mission part of it. THen I do the mission, the baddies are like 2 lvls higher than me. I died twice last night and now have nearly 20K debt. Not to mention that after investing nearly 2 hours on this mission,.. the mission just aborted randomly and told me I failed when I was soooo close to completing it. And it never said anything about being timed so I have no idea wtf was happening.Quote:

Sounds silly,.. but when you are used to doing something a certan way for 6 months, then they change it on you,.. it really sucks.
Another thing,.. I hate teh chat window now. Too confusing. I don't understand why they couldn't just add new features without Fing with everything else? It's like having to learn a whole new game now.
When I tried it on the Test Server, Lost were attempting to destroy the Hero 1 Memorial. Since I could not hold them all back (solo tanker), the mission failed.Quote:

BTW, the Terra Volta Trial, nuless it's been fixed this AM, is nigh impossible to complete at this time. Not worth the debt right now.

Not worth the debt. This is true.
Interesting comment picked up from the COH Forums.
I made a Board account just to voice my opinion on the new patch. Capes = Good. Every single thing you've done with the enemies = bad. Guys, I know what you were thinking, and it sounds good on paper; "ooh, wouldn't it be neat if enemies had more status powers to befuddle heroes with?" Yes, if there are one or two boss enemies that hurl them amidst the chaos of the numberless minions. But anything lower than a boss doesn't need anymore than one or two attacks, and certainly not the status powers we see them throwing around. Why? BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO FIGHT 20 AT ONCE. This is like if all the zombies in Resident Evil also happened to be Jackie Chan. It's ridiculously unfair.
Fix the Ruin Mages, and fix them first thing you do. As they are, it is unnacceptable. I don't care what class you are, if you get within 15 feet of one of these guys, you are dead. Period. Why? They hold you over and over, and you cannot get away, no matter what you do until you die. That's not a challenge, that's equivalent to a Dev sending me a tell saying I now have 1200 debt for no reason. Oh, did I mention that the ruin mage's Ground cages plucked me out of the air as I was hovering many, many feet above him? I don't remember that happening before, but if it did, cut it out. Ground powers do not reach fliers, otherwise what's the point of having the hover power in the first place?
While we're at it, get rid of the Shocker's hurricanes. You nerfed smoke bomb, fine. However, you seem to have taken smoke bomb's power and put it into the shocker's hurricane, because I was experiencing the same effects as my enemies had been experiencing the day before: out of ten attacks, 9 missed. Even my SO ACC slotted power missed every time. Unacceptable. They shoot blasts that stop me dead in my tracks, turning off all my toggles, have a constant smoke bomb field around them so i can never hit them, and have a posse of enemies around them that hit me with very large, very hurty stone fists that I can't do anything against.
Spawns in missions were too high. I don' think i was able to complete a single mission all day, unless i purposefully fought enemies that were green and grey. Every one of my characters amassed massive debt because mobs that i could take on single handedly before all of a sudden did twice the damage they normally do at that level. Not to mention doing it while being stunned, held, slept until dead.
Soloing as many classes is hard, but soloing as a scrapper is pretty much impossible now. All a scrapper has to rely on is melee: when all of your minons have crippling to the point of being able to literally do nothing status attacks, all you can really do is stumble around and watch your character die before he even gets within hitting range.
Also, I haven't heard anything about the Vahz. I was in a mission with mostly vahz my level (17), morts and such, and zombie vomit and crossbow bolts were doing upwards of 60 damage per shot. I literally lost all my health in an instant stepping off an elevator. Vahz damage was always ridiculous, and it seems that zombies' vomit was never classified or able to be defended against, but it seems to do even more damage now. Is this true?
Listen, status things are great and all, but i want to hit things and/or shoot things. If you make it a chore to do those two things, if i have to wade through 5 stuns, 4 sleeps, a hold and a death before i can hit an enemy three times, i will not renew my PlayNC account. 15$ a month is too much to ask for cryptic to bully me and my hero. At early levels now, the game is almost impossible. I can't imagine having a succesful enough day where enough went right that I actually progressed toward a level rather than amassing another debt pool. That's not fun guys. Watching my personal super hero be rendered powerless by a street punk with some stone fists is not only unfair, but un-fun. When your game becomes un-fun, you lose my 15$.
Agreed
However,.. only if it's true. I will play tonight and see for myself. I sure hope it's not as bad as it sounds from that post. If it is,.. then I might just have to cancel my subscription. I don't play this game every night just to rack up massive debt. Like I said,.. debt is "part of the game". But it should be "part" of the game and not "all" of the game.
That was one of the more eloquent posts.Quote:

More complaints were made about how even minions are a difficult thing to confront as a solo hero now.
That being said - see you tonight. ;)
I should be on at around 9:30 EDT.
Great,.. after all this I can hardly wait to play now. :rolleyes:Quote:

Good Post..
I would still like to know how I got killed while standing by the Rail Station when I first logged on last night? Maybe it was my newbness in thinking that I was safe cause I was standing next to the little police thingies that are supposed to be there to protect you.
All I know is I went AFK for about 15 minutes, came back and I was dead.
Wow,.. there is no escape. Even the train station is no longer safe. Bwahahahahaha!!! NExt time you know,.. Miss Liberty will start firing blasts at ya. :eek2:Quote:
