I was defending the Original Poster.
Well I have just reread the whole thing, and I have to say it gets somewhat off topic very quickly. Then it lurches back again. Then lurches off topic again. I think the lesson to be learned here, is do not post a serious topic where you question peoples motives/principles/cliques/friends/enemies/raison d'etre because it will either be taken wrong or go off topic and then the original point is lost.

But in doing that, there is no need to scold the posters, and call them names. Those are the kinds of things that will start flame wars, and cause problems on the fourms.Quote:

By all means, I wasn't trying to be critical of anyone in particular, just that the posts seemed to be making the point _for_ the topic poster.
My intention wasn't to "scold", rather, that as an "outsider" looking in, and by reading this thread, the posts following the original made the point for the topic starter.
I think we should give Insane Monkey Mod powers, I also think that 8 track players will make a come back and that Battle field earth was a masterpiece and should have swept the oscars.j/kQuote:

Im with Q with the problems ive had hes always been fare .. he might have had mod status the fastest hes been a great one to .. (of course as the others) ... what alot of people here are missing is notice that Q is for all of you not just certain people .. all he is stating .. you dont punch your sister when shes playing with your toys .. you tell you mom and dad .. this way it doesnt start flames ... so for all of us .. follow the rule .. post a note in comments with a request it goes to the mods lounge and describe things they will fix it if its possible but flaming this crap on the board is sad .. cause more flames get started ... so lets remember Windrivers.Friends its not just a webpageQuote:

I've been watching from the sidelines a lot and I had to throw this in:
JeanneD is 100% right, why are we always fighting and getting all mad at each other when we could all get along.
JvaGuy is right too, they don't call it WinDrivers Friends for the hell of it.

JeanneD DID INDEED bring up some very good points, as did most of the repliers. But I think it's time those of who are anything at all like regulars here (not part of a clique or in-group) stop, take a deep breath and remind ourselves that, to one degree or another, each and every poster in these forums is an important part of our lives. Or at least that's the way I feel.

OK, My turn. I know that many of you people here do not like me, but I have to agree 110% with what JeannieD is saying. There is most definatly a "clique" here and it really bring down the new visitors whom ask simple questions. I've seen posts and replies like "Duh, doesn't everybody know that?" No, not everybody knows everything. There are many different levels of PC experience. There are times when I will not even ask a serious question here becuase I know that I will never get a serious answer back if I get an answer at all. That totally sucks. I might have said some things in the past that people did not agree with and ever since then, I have almost been "shunned". I have a real difficult time getting a serious responce to many of my serious posts and I feel that this is the case for many other newcomers to this site. When I first started visiting this site, i thought it was great. Hey, here is a site where i caqn talk to people that do the same thing that i do all day long. I feel that i can no longer do that and I have not even been here that long. I don not know what has happend to make things this way, but in the short time that I have been coming here, things have changed, and I'm sorry to say it ain't as comfortable here anymore. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">
