Hmmm, I tried it in Firefox and IE6 both, and when I clicked the chat link, nothing happened.
Yeah,.. might as not bother now. Hostrocket has been having server issues and it's not working right now. I think they are doing maintenance. They do this like once ever 2 months or so. By Monday I should have this all sorted out. I'm going to try and get the java client built in instead.
Not bad from just a mad idea eh ? ;)Quote:

Yeah,.. it's turning out pretty cool so far. The proof of the pudding will be when it ends up in snopes.Quote:

As far as making users have to register to view the site,.. I don't think I want to do that at this point.
I also do not want to build a mailing list. I'm all for creating an urban myth,.. but I definitely do not want to contribute to spam.
Btw,.. two things: I have added a crude java client just to have the chat ability for now. Also,.. I'd like to see if we can add some more urban myths if possible. So keep the ideas coming. :)
Oh,.. and one last thing... the bulletin board works too. The link is on the top (phpbb). It's very basic,.. not much to it,.. but users can sign up and use as they wish. So take it for what it's worth. The reason I'm adding the chat and bb, etc. is just to make the site appear more legitimate. I'll probably remove the hit counter too because legit sites don't have those usually.
When all you get is "blah, blah, blah .. click to read more.." & then it takes you to a registration page, but if you just skip the registration & use it as a straight link this'll give you more room & keep it getting hits as long as the opening line can get written to include all the keywords most would search on & so more room for some more urban myths ! :D .. I see many possibilities for this :DQuote:

Yeah,.. it's like when that one pakistani dude on that one episode of seinfeld opened up for business and nobody came in to eat. LOL. :DQuote:

Yeah,.. but I felt so bad for that guy. What was his name? Abu I think? And then that one episode where Jerry got him deported by mistake. Oh man! Poor guy. "Jerry is a very very bad man!" That was gold. :DQuote:
