I'll take the ceremonial tanto. Now I need only find a katana and wakazashi to match.Quote:

__________
Eighteen kilometres.
Since he is riding three times as fast as he can walk, three quarters of his time must be spent walking. Since he rode for two hours, travelling 18 kilometres, and walked for six hours, travelling at three kph, he made the round trip in eight hours.
18 km 2 hr out and 6 hrs backQuote:

Then he had his eyes tested.
He gets paid every Thursday by cheque.
The banks are only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The eye doctor is closed on Saturday.
The market stays closed on Thursday and Friday.
On what day did the man go to town?
__________
Tuesday.
Thursday and Friday the market is closed. Saturday the doctor's office is closed. It is evident he cashed his cheque because he had more money in the evening than he did when he left in the morning. He got paid on Thursday and went to town on the following Tuesday when the bank, doctor's office, and market were all open.
So let me get this straight...Quote:

Sid Shady took Shadow up to his study and told his story.
"I was away on business for the day. I got home about 7:00 this evening to see the ex-heavyweight boxer, Jordan Tate, sliding down a rope outside my house. He saw me and ran off.
He must have broken into the house, alarmed my dog, and found his only escape was out the window. My priceless stamp collection is gone." Shadow looked around the study for clues.
A magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers lay on the heavy desk. The rope, which was tied around one of the desk's legs, led out the window and down the side of the house.
Just as Shadow's partner climbed onto the end of the rope, the desk slid away from the wall revealing one of Shady's priceless stamps.
Shadow picked it up and said, "You can hide this one with the rest of them. The insurance company won't believe this act."
Why not?
__________
If Jordan Tate, an ex-heavyweight boxer, had climbed down the rope and failed to pull the desk away from the wall, it is highly unlikely that Shadow's partner would move it.
