I’d forgotten how nice everyone is on the Windrivers forums :) I’ll try to come around more often.

We'd enjoy that! :)Quote:

No, but it makes you tardy!
Hello,
I'm finally after many many years registering on the forums here. I've been watching windrivers since back in the day (1999). I've observed many of the conversations and in reality I've come here to glance at the many tech related questions that get posted here in order to see if they relate to anything I don't know how to repair. I've learned to recognize and respect various names on here and to tell the truth though you all don't know me I highly regard many of your opinions as professionals / masters in the IT field. I just want to finally introduce myself and try my hand at helping others while also learning from the rest of you.
Welcome aboard Niclo
Pitch in whenever you have time.
Welcome to WinDrivers Niclo. Always nice to see some fresh faces and we can always use some more help.
Isn't old the new new?
Is that close to a red light harlet:wave:Quote:

Welcome! There are a few of us from the 'Burgh here.
Thank you for the warm welcome :) I'm looking forward to the future discussions we may have.
Welcome to the premier light green forum on the web! :D
Hi Newbie here. This is my second post.
I found some useful stuff on this forum so I thought I would register and say thanks. Then I noticed all the chat about OZ, sheila's and GP bikes (go Stoner!!). I think I'll end up logging in more often than I thought!
Welcome to the forum Rex!
Hey Rex! I'm hoping to be passing by Wollongong next week on my way up to Sydney.
Since we have an "Oz" theme going, I thought I'd mention that I lived in the Sydney area many years ago as well :)Quote:

Was having issues with my old profile not being able to post (cleared cache, switched pc's etc) and created this one and poof, and now I can post. Former Verizon Fios tech rep (among many things) and former Field tech back during the boom years of the dot com era. Been called McGuyver and one of my favorite magazines is Make .:drink:
Did you try to contact me or Rich? We probably could've helped you sort the old account. Anyway, welcome back.

Somehow I missed this, but welcome aboard!
Thank you both :) No worries on overlooking me. I'm pretty good at being overlooked sometimes hehe. However not a bad thing though since maybe it's a blessing if I ever had to hide something.
since 99 there's been a lot of fun in here. I've been awol for the last few, but still read from time to time on certain issues. Pretty surprising the whole thing has kept together this long.
As long as that pic doesn't reappear, wb Dan!
;)
:)
Hmmm I'm curious now. No fair public broadcasting of secrets. I shall forumulate my own and then talk of them then I shall be the victor! OK this is why I shouldn't skimp on sleep.
uhuh....
That would have been Macgyver you're thinking of Noo.Quote:

Hi all,
It's been a looooong time but I'm back in the IT field again. I took a 4ish year break to work in Retail but have burnt out and decided I like computers more than people!
Talk to you around!
You like computers more than people?? Don't blame ya a bit, but unfortunately computers require users (aka people)!! :D
Anyhow, glad to see you're back in to the IT field.........its a fun place if you have the patience!!
They are all crawling out of the woodwork this week!
Welcome back, your lart is where you left it :D
