They check in, but they don't check out.

A local business brought in their computer late last week. The had a bad power supply, but the part was proprietary so we ordered a new one.

As the computer sat on the floor a tech noticed a couple cockroaches leaving the machine. We checked the power supply and it was full of dead roaches.

Now we have roaches running all around the shop. I was doing inventory today and it seemed like every time I move something a roach scurries away. We didn't have *any* bug problem a week ago. Now we have to bug bomb the shop.

Does anybody know fumers are bad for computer parts?

should be fine dude, just make sure that everything is powered down, and anything vital that cant be powered down, is covered up.

Luckuly we don't have a roach roblem in wisconsin, to bad anyway. A few bars downtown have them, had one fall in my beer once from the ceiling, boy, that will cut a night early.

do you guys have any polocy of charging the customer for bringing in the roaches, I would think to exterminate could be quite expencive.

due i would file a law suit to recover expenxes for bombing the place and i would also never work on thier comp again.

When my family and I moved into our house we had TON's of roaches but after reapeted bug bombings and boric acid in all the corners of the huse we got rid of them all in 3 months.

one last question did they get them all?

sometimes i love bein a canadian... I saw a roach once...tiny little guy my buddys girlfriend moved up from her crappy little place in florida...little guy ran scootin out of a packed box STOMP. Once again CANADA is safe from the invading menace...

No, we're not going to charge them extra. We'll just spend a few bucks on a do-it-yourself can of fogger at Wal-Mart. I've killed about a dozen little roaches today. I figure there can't be more than a few dozen left. They aren't nesting yet, so the fogger should get them.

I saw 2 roaches on the sidewalk in Hawaii last week--only the 2nd and 3rd I've ever seen. I guess living in the Northwest is good for something besides moss and webs between my toes....

I hear ya. When I lived in Houston, we'd have the smaller domestic roaches all the time, no matter how much you cleaned (living in an apartment). Sometimes we'd get these big 2" to 3" long wood roaches. You can saddle those babies up for a ride. Yee-haw... https://forums.windrivers.com/

yeah my mom used to live there and she would get these wierd mutant "CLEAR" roaches she said they were like transparent.

Yeah, Boric Acid powder is the way to go...RoachPruf (as advertised by Paul Harvey) is something like 99% boric acid powder. It really does work...

Might as well on figuring for every 1 roach you see, there is 2 dozen you don't.....I would get an exterminator in and pronto....that Wal-Mart can of crap ain't gonna get everywhere those exterminators will.....you'll just waste time and $$$$$
