Ok, I have to ask....cuz people think I am REALLY strange on this one....ok, truth time...they think I am strange anyway....
Do any of you name your pc's? I have a laptop that has a personality all his own....so I have named him.....He is Louie (working on him right now)....Hey, he is a big part of my life...so I named him....
Do I need to seek professional help? Is this abnormal? :rolleyes:

My computers are Irwin and Katie, both of my best friends and my ex roomie named all of their computers. The best name for one I've ever heard was a server called "The Wumpus".
We had a computer on loan for a week that we called "Mildred the Temp". Also, my wife has threatened to throw out any more computers I get that I christen with female names...
I had a friend in college that bought a used full tower system, got it working, spray painted it green, and named it the "Green Giant." I've never personally named a computer.
My Other computers and laptop have no names. My main Comp, which I am using right now I call 16th Floor Balcony Bait.

Yeah I have named mine, most of the new servers on the network get named before we set them up for there primary job. For a long time I was anming them after pirate ships like the Inferno, Revenge, Exacutioner, Avenger, Deathshead. Now I name them after Pokemon characters, so saying that I am of to go work on Squirtal
I have several computers and they are all named, basicly so I can tell them apart. I have Balthazar, Malchior, and Casper (three wise men) I have Tux (linux), and my girlfiends is Navi.
Glad to know I am not alone....I know people name servers, (best one I have heard is Uranus)...I was beginning to think I have "issues"...ok, well maybe I still do!! But thanks so far for ths support...(Louie thanks ya too!) :D
Hmmm, I don't call them by name, but named their network names are all based on famous conquerors. The server is Alexander, my main computer is Gengis, my second computer is Rasputin, and my laptop is Napoleon. I thought it was cute, but when I set up my Linux box I'll probably have to do research for the next name or call him Bismark.
They are all named, as they are all on the network, so I don't think you are sick. :D
