Curiosity Question

How many electronic gadgets are you required to have to stay a "geek connected" at work?

I have a company cell and pager, alpha, numberic....what is up with that...they get pi$$ed if I forget my phone somewhere....oooppppsss...speaking of...left it in my car....but refuse to use the pager...weird...

Also...are any of you on call? I am mostly just during business hours, but do get the occasional call/page at home.

i start my job job as a telephone install tech on monday, and i have to get trained on the software that we use on our laptops and secure id's to get our jobs..

on top of that i am gonna have a pager so that everyone can get ahold of me.

lets see at home since i dont work is 4 email accounts, windrivers chat room and windrivers forums .. and a slow damn internet line ... and i get pissed cause it is too damn slow heheh

One Laptop with constant e-mail

Cell phone and pager. No laptop (thank god...). I'm on call at work and for about 4-5 hours after. I do get calls really late at night, though I refuse to go in that late.

Other than that, I have a certain email account at home I use to tap into the mailserver at work to get my mail. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Cell phone, craptop, dial-up-anywhere-in-the-US-access. Travel a whole lot (hence the name). Ditched the pager about a year ago for the cell, best investment EVER!

I'm usually in the office all the time, but every once in a while (this week), I get to go out and check our other facilities. I have a cell phone and a pager (both of which I leave turned off), and a laptop. I'm not sure what it's for, but it runs Duke Nukem, so I'm happy with it.

1 deskphone with 6 lines.

1) I have a company pager but I took the battery out and don't use it so I guess that doesn't count.
2) I have a cell phone but it's mine, not the companies, so I guess that doesn't count either. Anyways, I ususally leave it off.
3) I have a company laptop, but I'm too lazy to bring it home because I already have a PC at home so that doesn't count either.
4) I've got a phone, but when it rings, I don't answer it because at all it doesn't have caller ID. So I just usually use the cell phone. So I guess it doesn't count either.

Hmmm,... I'm not connected at all. Maybe I should just get a palm pilot and kill all these birds with one stone and be able to play MP3's too! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
