Windrivers UT Server??

i think someone here should seyup a windrivers Unreal Tourney server... what do u guys think??

I'd rather see a Counter-Strike server :D

I'd much rather see Q3A!

I would run a CS server, but since my net connection at home sucks as it is, I don't have a choice.

Heck, I got a computer that could easily handle running a CS, Tribes2, UT and q3 deticated server, but, again, bandwith sucks and it changes too frequently :(

Isn't there already a UT server available for WinDrivers members already?

As for Q3, there have been some attempts in the past and may be some more in the future, but if anyone else is interested in sparking one up, I'll be first in line to get my butt fragged :p

maybe check with burnfest...he probably knows more about who is running the game servers

I had a CS server running up until this week, but took it down because everyone was whineing about the lag ( 512 pc133 but only a 450Mhz CPU, ouch!). A few people were upset about it because I also had a stats page running on it, updated every 30 minutes. I'll bring it back once I finally do an upgrade (I was thinking Dual Athlon XP :) ) I'll post the addy if anyone cares...

I want to get in with some good q3a action too.... anyone up to it? I got a sweet setup but have just recently given up my DSL unfortunately.

I'm stuck with dialup for a while more too :(

Of course, that was the only thing keeping me from dishing out my personal brand of punishment on Morticia the last time some of us hooked up :rolleyes:

I'll run a UT server while I am at work off our server if one of you will help me figure out how to do the port and ip forwarding (checkpoint firewall, but I am DMZ)

Well Adept, im here, just been keeping my nose clean and in the books for a while, seems a few of my problems are going (at long last) so thew Q3 server is slowly in progress again, the Queing system is not going to plan :( so i think im going to be putting a post in the programing section of windrivers about counting the rate at which packets are sent, hopefully something will come back from that, my machine is almost finished and the Q3 server is currently as follows

I am here and READY for some digital mayhem on Q3 ANYTIME. Since I got this GeForce 2 Titanium I have been playing some games that locked up on me before in the past.

Put up a Q3 Excessive or Rocket Arena, or just regular deathmatch or even rotating game styles, I am there man.

There WAS a UT server available for WD users, - unreal.king-nerd.com - but i just tried it and it didnt respond, even though the DNS does resolve to an IP.

From the old gaming page i set up a while ago ( <a href="http://windriversfriends.cjb.net" target="_blank">http://windriversfriends.cjb.net</a> , click the Gaming Link) UT seems to be the favourite (definetly what i would choose).

Last night i was thinking of starting a topic about that page, but looks like i dont need to now.
. :)
