HP would no be a option as far as I am concerned. I have been researching this for a few months. Plextor has always come out on top!! It is the best. I just got one it is great! if you shop around you can get one for like $150. so PLEXTOR!!!!
I have never had a problem with HP, but Plextor is definitely top notch stuff. If you could get Plextor, then go for it!
I wasn't saying HP is bad, (I have one I got a year ago before I learned about plextor.) But with the two side by side, I think the is no choice. plextor
If thats their standards, sounds like a good CO. At least they dont want the cheap stuff. Either would be good, Ive had both and loved both. The Hp has even lasted through my 2.5 year old dropping it. (Dont remember why I had it outta the machine though, probably when I was installing my DVD).

probably using it as a paintball practice target
well i have decided to go with the below:
Plextor PlexWriter 24/10/40A = 24 Write X 10 ReWrite X 40 Read = Part # PX-W2410TA/SW
<a href="http://www.plextor.com/english/products/24_10_40A.html" target="_blank">http://www.plextor.com/english/products/24_10_40A.html</a>
what do you all think??

NA, I heard of these paintball mines, I was probably using it to protect a fragile area :D :D :D
Outta curosity what price are you getting it at?
$140 + S/H
Plextor all the F@#$ING WAY. :D
Plextor! The only way to Burn! :D
looks like i made a good choice by the comments
Yup, great choice :D
IMO, CDRW drives are all the same. Just different brand names. IMO, software is more key than the actual physical drive. But if I had to choose, then I'd say the Plextor only because I had a bad experience with an HP 8100.
good choice. go plextor or go home! :D
