Which one?? I rode them both yesterday and I love both of them for different reasons. Just trying to get some opinions....Myrtle Bch. bike week coming up and I HAVE to have a ride! :D
Would you rather sit forward as you ride, or back? For someone of my largesse, the VTX a no brainer, but you may differ....
I like the VFR....but then again I'm not a harley or Harley clone lover........

I like the VTX. But thats just because I think it looks more classic and says more like Lets do each other on this bike. And the other one says Hop on I take you some where unknown and do ya.

As far as speed and power goes, all 706lbs of the VTX can hang with the VFR. 0-60& 1/4 mile times are taken by the VFR, but only marginally. Roll ons like 30-60 or 70-100 are taken by the VTX because of its huge amount of torque. Pricing is roughly the same due to differences in APR.
VTX $11,200=$221 (60 [email protected]%apr)per month w/insurance of $36
VFR $9800=$208 (60 [email protected]%apr) w/insurance of $30
Believe it or not, insurance is less for the rocket due to the massive engine size of the VTX.
Finally, the VFR has a removable hard seat cover and there IS a second seat under it. This isn't an issue, however, because my wife won't get on the one that I buy for love or money. She hates them and has only been on my previous moto twice. One of those was because she had no choice. :D

Another couple of pics.
I guess it all comes down to what kind of riding you do. Weekend cruise down the highway or blasting down the boulevard. It probably also depends on if you have any riding buddies and what they ride. I know which one I would want. Give me the VFR, please. The classic look of the VTX makes me think of old guys from the 60's trying to relive their glory days. Just an opinion. :)
Hey buy both :D , then probably pay megabucks for the divorce lawyer's. Actually you look more comfortable on the VXT.

I really know jack about bikes and the like but I can offer one tid bit of info for you. People riding on crotch rockets look like dorks. There is no way to make yourself look cool on one of those things. Sorry to say that if anyone is a crotch rocket fan but when you ride by people, well, they are ripping on you. :p Again - not a flame towards anyone who likes the crotch rocket - just an observation on my end.
Dude - weigh your options and get what best suits what you need it for. Write down why you will use it and buy accordingly.

Oh sh!t! ILTU had the guts to post what I chickened out on last night! I had it all typed in a reply and then thought----naaaaawww.
And unless you never go more than 30min or so at a time, the VTX is much easier on the arms, shoulders, back.....
Well....it seems as though its dead even. I guess I'll just have to do a little more research and pick then. I'll make sure to post back when I finally get it. ;)
