Why is everyone misspelling THE now?

All of the sudden, seems like everyone out there is spelling the like this now: TEH ...

Can some one please tell me what is going on?

And what is "teh goggles they do nothing?"

"The goggles do nothing." is from the Simpsons where Milhouse is cast as Fallout Boy, but is missing from a scene where he needs to rescue Radioaactive Man, played by Renier Wolfcastle, from a river of Acid. Renier puts on the glasses to protect his eyes when he realizes he is not going to be rescued. I believe the complete line is . . "My eyes! The goggles do nothing." said in a heavy Austrian accent. Very funny scene.

As for the misspelling of THE. I don't get it either. As if people can't type for, or you either.

[EDIT] I can't remember if there is a 'they' in the line. I don't remember there being one to be honest.

I am just excercising my constitutional right to spell teh in whatever way I feel is teh best way to do so, given teh situation.

Don't try to spell "the"...that's impossible. Instead, try to realize teh truth...

There is no "the"...

I'm not exactly sure how it started, but it's something that's been going on for a bit. Just kinda funny I guess. The most popular phrase would be " You = TEH DIE!!!1111111" Don't forget to always add more 1 than !.

I'm the one who spread teh infection to WD. We did the "j00 = TEH DIE!!!11" on another gaming forum I used to hang out on.

Search for "teh", here in the tech lounge. I think you'll find I'm about the only one intentionally misspelling it consistently. So it's really not that bad of an epidemic at all. :)
