making an x-mas list

so there's what, about 70 days left till x-mas? Now I'm not going shopping till the 24th at around 8:30pm like every other guy in the world does, but I do have to start making my x-mas list so the wife can start shopping for my stuff now!

So far I don't have much on the list, just a few DVD's, some car stuff and home audio cables (speaker and optical cable). There is no computer stuff as I don't need any right now.

So have any of you started a list? Any of you have ideas of stuff to ask for that isn't computer related?

havnt started, dont need anything, i usally buy it when I want/need it lol so im very simple when it comes to xmas lists, dont have to get me anything... just another day for me

I know, Its wierd, but I thought really hard and I for once truly do not NEED any computer stuff. Thats not to say I don't WANT computer stuff. If it came down to getting a new gas powered weed wacker over a new 120gb HDD, I would have to take the weed wacker as I need it more than I do the HDD.

Bought a house this year so we're not doing presents, might wrap up the water heater and give it to the wife I suppose.

My parents will probably send over some socks and/or boxer shorts,

I dutifully write a christmas list every year and every year without fail it gets ignored. Not just the computer stuff, but cds, dvds, books ... oh wait, I did ask for some nice bubble bath and got the cheapest available at the supermarket :rolleyes:

List? LIST? Amateurs... I do my shopping throughout the year with the goal to be completed by late Sept.
I'm already done with my shopping. I do my wrapping on Thanksgiving weekend.

I'm with NooNOo, never get what I ask for, and if I do, it is a cheap imitation(with the exception of last years X-Box!!!!).

This year, esp without a girlfriend, I am taking care of myself at x-mas. Just waiting on that x-mas bonus check then I am going out and getting the biggest, widest screen I can afford.

I have shopped for my wife, and got hopefully great gifts. (first time ever) But the wife takes care of all my other gifts. Thats the best part of being married, someone to shop for you. :)

I dont really have anything i need or want for that matter. I am a gamer..so there are a few xbox games i woudlnt mind having..but for the most part..if i want something, i buy it. I do hate shopping though, so i probably wont start mine until a day or two before Christmas.

ahh, that brings me back when a good-willed friend gave me a computer hardware gift...

From then on, I tell people not to buy me any computer hardware as a surprise unless I specify I want a specific item.

*sigh* Unfortunately I'll need someone with a deep bank account to handle my general list for the year. I make a list of stuff I'd like to purchase myself that way I know what I'm saving for. Usually it's like DVDs, a couple books, maybe a thing or two for the HT or computer. This year it's ridiculous : Kenwood DVD Jukebox, a nice coat, or this one, plus a PVR-250 and a Radeon 9600 Pro, and a Samsung 19" black LCD, a DVD recorder and external chassis and man the list goes on. I don't expect any of it for Christmas though, just one of my many lists.
