just put in a new motherboard that allows you to hook up a sound connection in the front panel.
The book has the pins set as
mic2 agrd
micpwr +5va
l out R Bline out R
NC (no pin)
l out L Bline out L
I have them set up as
Red (mic out) Black(aground)
Yellow (Mic In)
Green R out Orange(L in)
white R in purple(L out)
I get sound on just one speaker so far. Where did I go wrong ?
Can anyone help ?

Im trying to connect the pins on my motherboard (asus a7v8x-x) front panel sound.
The pins on the motherboard are listed as follows...
MIC2 AGND
MICPWR +5va
Line out-r Bline out-r
NC (no pin)
Line out-l Bline out-l
I have set them up as
Red(Mic Out) Black (aground)
no cable Yellow(Mic in)
green(r out) Orange (L in)
no cable (no pin)
white(right in) purple(l out)
there are the color of the cables and the desc on the connectors and the order in which they are connected. Maybe when i submit this again it will be more readable..

No I have never tried chat.
Maybe, Ill scan my manual and send it in. If I scan my manual I can do a cut and past. I would have to have an OCR program read it and transcribe it.

The cables on the case don't really correspond to the pins on the motherboard.

Let me try one last time to see if I can make this readable for all. I have a plug for a microphone and headphone or speaker plug in the front.
My motherboard's manual has the pins for the audio for the front of the case listed as follows.
Mic2___0______0_Aground
Micpwr_0______0_+5va
L out__0______0_Bline out R
NC____0________(no Pin)
L out L_0_____0_Bline out L
0 = the Pin layout

Now here is the color of the cable from the case along with the desc on the connectors and how I set them up.
red (mic out) 0____0 black(aground)
no cable____0_____0_yellow(mic in)
green(r out)_0_____0_orange(left in)
NC_________0_______(no pin)
white(Right in)_0___0_purple(left out)
I really makes no sense to me why they have a mic out ? Or a left in and right in going to a speaker out plug. Go figure.

Their was no instructions at all with the case.
They had a small diagram for the assembly on stuck to the case, but that was just for general assembly...
I can't find any info on the web for the case but I might be looking inthe wrong direction....
