I heard about that, its been all over the radio and tv. Hope you own a snow blower.
Stay safe, warm (hopefully) and indoors! Keep us updated on the situation.
http://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/webcam/HighwayCameras.stm gives an interesting view of the road conditions.
Wow, that makes 2000 posts finally.
Sunny and 72 here today. I don't envy you !
Well as to my current condition, I have now been at work for 15 hours 45 minutes.
My car is effectively buried in snow,(literally), and I don't chance leaving/digging yet as the snow plows were taken off the road.
Thank god for coffee!!!!
It got pretty cold here last night. Down in to the forties. brrrrrrr. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
70's today and sunny. But, too bad Dark, I do dread the day I have to post this sort of thread. There would be only one thing which would cause that: hurricane.https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
PS
Congrats DA, tis about time....https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif
what can I say, I'm a man of few words.
Sux that you are stuck at work. Would suck more if they are actually expecting you to work!
Is there at least a tv, cafeteria or even a warm corner you could curl up in and catch a few zzzz?
Maybe now you can convince the woman of the dire need for a new snowmobile.
Sucks to be stuck at work like that.
Hope there is some way you're getting food out there.

That sounds like the blizzard that blew through here last week! Thing blew across the Chukchi Sea from Siberia with sustained 75 MPH winds and 100 MPH gust. We got about 16" of snow out out of it (~41cm). It turned to the ENE and headed across Northern Alaska, skirted the Yukon and then into the Arctic Ocean. Almost sounds like it did an end around. The good thing is since the storm blew out it's been crystal clear up here, but COOOOOOLD!! Highest temps we've seen up here at work since Sunday is -24°F!
You be careful DM!
To answer the questions yes we have a cafeteria so we have access to food. Its quite warm so no worries there. No TV at the moment throughout the whole area so that's out...
Now coming up on 17 hours 25 minutes... and emergency crews have just been allowed back onto the roads...here's hoping theyn free me... :)

Nope no gamecube. TV came back to life a while ago. I watched survivor all stars. Reminded me why I hate the survivor series.
Been at work 36 hours now. Been up approx 38 hours, (took a few hours to sleep).
State of emergency is still in effect, car is still buried, and the weather is giving more snow for tonight/tomorrow morning. sighs
