Topped 95°F in my "office" yesterday - that's 36°C for most of you! Have a little fan, now at work in shorts & flip flops, going for an ice cream & paddle in the sea at lunchtime.. Lovely!

They're forecasting up to 40°C in Paris this week. Thankfully I was there last week and don't have to go back for another ten days now.Quote:

I got up at five am to work and will be calling it a day in an hour or so and heading to the nearest bar with a terrace. :)
Sometimes it is nice being your own boss. Screw the clients, they need me they can call the portable phone. :guns:

Yes, it's very hot in England too !!
A friend of mine, left a container of candles in the sun and went back to find a congealed mass .. she's gonna try lighting them tonight !
But I did manage to do 60 skips with skipping rope without fainting this morning.
Morning frosts here in Australia!
It's hot in Maryland as well. I am conditioned for all types of weather due to the fact I am the dog walker in our family for our two labs. However, yesterday was a hot one and I could tell it affected the dogs because they sat down on the lawn after we were done (they are always willing to go more..but not yesterday). I was a sweatly mess. :flame:
Ah, the heat! 106° in the shade yesterday; for you Centigradians: 41°.
Further proof that the ice age is imminent.
All those wienies crying about global warming - pffft!!
D4mn hot in our Watford office too. Got home, got in the pool, (kids 6 footer), stayed there until about 10 minutes ago. Cool again!
Normally we in the deep south are complaining about the heat but it's actually pretty nice here at 88 degrees F. The past weekend was sweltering.
I say enjoy it before the caps melt and the water table rises and we have to spend our days and nights on a floating city, searching for dry land.
You all reminded me of when I was a child.
I would give my dog Spot a piece of ice in the morning on summer days.
He would hurry and bury it.Then about noon he would go dig it up but, gone
already melted.
He gave me that dumb look and I would go get him a piece from the house.
Guess he couldn't be trained or....He had me well trained.Who knows?
Anyway we are averaging about 95 degrees F in Georgia.
New electric costs make us use electricity and hate it at the same time but,it
is darn easy to lie to yourself and make that meter spin.
Xpuser357 is an A/C Repair specialist.Bet he's not lacking for work right now.
A/C Repair Motto:Get 'em while their hot!!
42C is the average here at the moment, with more to come :)
Going on over 10 days of straight 100+ temps. We are promised 108 today (42 for the Centigradians) with 110 for Friday. However, a cool front will blow through this weekend, dropping us down to the 90's!
A bar with a terrace? To heck with that, find a bar with air conditioning and stay inside!!! :DQuote:

Yeah...I despise the cold as well...anything below about 70-75F and I start shivering.
