Mine would have to be the one where the last "intel guy" shoots himself up onto the wall and slides down with the green paint all over him!

None, TV advertising leads to higher chip prices for the consumer.Quote:

You spend your whole life believing that you're on the right track,
only to discover that you're on the wrong train.
Intels old adds with the guys in the multi-colored lab suits were cool and alll, but the problem is they all are nothing but fluff. For example, the one with the 3 blue guys and the green paint, does that add explain why Intel thinks that the PIII is better than a T-Bird? No it does not, and the reason for that is that Intel is currently deppending on name brand recignition to sell instead of supperior products. Currently the T-Bird and Duron are kicking PIII and Celeron *** both in price and performance. So Intel uses these adds to make sure they still sell a few procs here and there. I am not knocking Intel BTW, I do use an athlon in my comp, but I would like to see Intel and AMD closer in performance because competion keeps the bar raised high.

I dont like the blue guys but I did like the Homer Simpson commercials!!

Suicidal twin kills sister by mistake! Story at ten!
Well, I don't know about Intel ads
What makes me laugh is when you watch and advert for whatever computer company when they have the temerity to mention Intel Pentium, whereupon the entire advert screeches to a halt to play Intels jingle.
Teehee LOL
Of course, then there's the UserFriendly take on Intel:

The opinions expressed herein are my own and not those of my employer.
I liked the ones from a year or so ago...everybody's in a Clean Room wearing those bright colored neon aluminum suits...rockin' out. I thought, "Now, that's pretty neat!"

That's true. As far as their new ads go, I think they are pretty lame.Quote:

It's a dog eat dog world out there, and there isn't enough dog to go around. So get as much dog as you can before all the dogs gone.
we really don't need faster hardware
just some software that doesn't freak out just becuase you tried to get it to do what they said it would do.

what do you mean you chrage more for laptops ??
In case anyone was wondering who the blue guys in the new commercials are goto www.blueman.com to find out more about the Blue Man Group.
Yeah I first ran across them in Chicago. What I want to know is - WTF does "Blue Man Group" have to do with an Intel PIII? It's all about that eye-candy I guess...

Paint your old laptop!
I like the AMD commercial with the train the best

What do you think this is ? The Holiday Inn...
I agree that the ads are pretty lame, and pointless. They really don't make any effort to explain WHY a PIII is so much better than the competition.
I'm an Intel fan. I'll never use anything else, personally. Though, they are pandering to hype with their ads.
I also agree with the person who said, "We don't need faster hardware!" 90% of the people who come through the door want a system that they can surf the internet, and play a few games (nothing like Half-Life, more along the lines of Solitare), and write some letters. Most of these people would be thrilled with a P233MMX with 32MB RAM, and a 3.4 Gig Hard Drive. Why does that old retired couple need to go out and buy a Pentium III 800 with 128 Megs RAM, 30 Gig Hard Drive, 32 Meg Video Card?
Intel should really consider that market, since they make the lion's share of the market.
We do have some kids come in and say, "I want the biggest and best! Gimme a 866, with all the works!" Though, those are about 1% of the buying force. Most of them say, "I just want to send e-mail to my daughter."
Do THEY really need a PIII 800?

AMD: The train
Intel: Homer
parning that was funny
I think Intel is following the same line of thinking that the shoe commercials follow. I saw a Nike ad the other day that looked like it was going to be the start of a gang war. I don't think it ever even shows a shoe. Same deal with the Intel ads. What's up with that?
They're going after brand recognition. They're hoping that "Intel" will be imbedded deeply in your subconcious, and you will automatically assume that it's the best (why not? They have the most commercials out). When the consumer goes to buy a system, they automatically ask for Intel.
All companies do this. It's a marketing tactic.

I don't know about any of you, but those blue guys give me the creeps... Big white eyes, UGH! (shudders)
I liked the dancing components commercials a few years ago. But I haven't used Intel chips at home for about four years LOL.

Personaly I hate them all, Intel is over priced, you know why? because green paint is realy expensive, and it cost a lot of money to pay such "Talented" actors to play those parts of the blue men, drop the comercials, drop the prices.
MY two cents
