Does anyone know of a XP pro approved CD burn software.+
Currently I have Easy Cd Creator Platinum v.5 with the XP patch but still have some problems.
Just wondering if there is better software out there for XP. :p

Nero 5.5 Works great under XP!
haven't had any problems with it.
I agree with kato!
Nero 5.5.6.4 is the best.
Since I haven't seen any of the problems many seem to have had, I still prefer Roxio just because that's what I'm used to and it does what I want. I'm sure Nero is great too but I just haven't played with it enough to say one is any better than the other....
NTI CD-Maker. Easy, simple interface and with the right motherboard, free.

Post a link if you can..'Dad' ;)
I prefer Roxio Easy CD Creator with DirectCD since it allows normal drive letter access like a floppy drive. You can open and save to CDs from any program as if the files where on a floppy (but much faster).
nero seems to be the mose stable on my box. (as others have said)
but I think its worth mentioning CLONECD , this little prog is brilliant for doing cd-cd copies in the background.

Indeed Freddy & that is free to try....(Infact 18 months later I am still "trying"..many might say I always am!) :D :D

Ditto!
I've checked every single one, but I'm still stuck on Easy CD Creator. :)
I have been using Roxio 5 platnum in my XP pro with my plextor 24X and I love it!!! I works great!! I have been told that it shouldn't run cause its not all compatable. But I have proven that wrong.
I use easy cd creater 5.0 platinum with xp and Ive been able to burn every thing I want with nero I got buffer run errors with it under xp. I use a Sony cdrw 8x burner no problems with roxio and its easy to use with the right update to it of course.
I know this may draw some laughs, but I personally use the HP Record Now along with their DLA(Drive Letter Access)software. Both work flawless for me under XP. I feel that DLA has a smaller overhead than DCD, one of the main ones being I don't have to engage in a tug o war to get my RW disk out of my burner.
The Record Now software does some of the things that Easy CD 5 does such as making music and data cd's and also will make an MP3 CD.
Just my .02 cents.
I use Roxio myself for most stuff HD.
For backup purposes of discs I own or Drive/Disc Imaging, I use CDRWin, Blind Read/Write, Disc Juggler and Clone CD *well rarely*
bah... ill prolly get laughs here too cuz i dont know a soul that runs it besides me... PrimeOC has been kickin sum ash for me... id at least try it... its just a simple simple drag and drop data, audio formate interface that is sooo stupid it doesnt try to figure stuff out so burning some stuff that wasnt supposed to be burned was easy :)
i say, do it... if ya like it do it twice or more :)
