What would you make?
I think I'd make a 5 port Switch or Reuter PCI card. It would save desktop space and allow for more configuration. It would also allow to install more cards without using an uplink cable(Just use the PCI bus as the uplink). And of course this would also act as A normal Nic card if prefered, but could be disabled. I think people could be a lot more creative in their Hardware design. What do you guys think?
A Holo-monitor, a monitor that used holograms to make flat images 3D and allows you to float around them. Yeah that would rock, especialy on certain sites that we are not allowed to post links for...coughcoughporncough
a main board that supports more than 15 IRQS i mean like 100 IRQ that would be nice
a computer that works. it would make all of us go and try to find a real job. eek :D
A bugfree OS & 1Gbps Internet connection :)
A device that stops windows from crashing...I'd be hailed as the savior of the world >)
A sound card that works with VIA Chipsets.

I would invent a good computer for the mass public, good parts and quality service.
Maybe also a good OS that would beable to support macOS, windows, and linux programs and easy to install
A touchy-feely peripheral to complement the holo-monitor.

I would get computer controlled ironing - like I push the alt I key and away it goes! No more standing there like an idiot for 3 hours a week. :D :D :D
Just to be a little more realistic, I would like to invent a power connector that plugs in and pulls out without any effort but won't just fall out. I don't know how many times I have hurt myself trying to get a power connector out of a drive. :cool:

"It" is plug-and-play, force-feedback, f**k-and-feel (my patent), hands-free, latex, heated, vibrating, interactive, etc...
I guess I will understand if Mods want to delete/modify this.
An ATX power supply with an integrated UPS would be cool...
And an OS with integrated PC Anywhere so I can fix simple stuff from home...
And I would take Plug n' Play to a new level, ahem, so to speak, to go with the above post.

That is, if plug and play actually worked...
I would invent a video card with 1GB of DDR RAM on board, that would be capable of display about 97.3 trillion megatekapixels on screen at once. Oh yeah, and it would also have like 2 GB of flash memory on board. Why? I don't know, but that would be cool. And the core would also operate at 5.223457 GHz, and you could play Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament at 91,519 frames per second. Plus, it would also have a built in DSL/cable modem, and it would get a -549 ping. Don't ask me how. And it would also be capable 265,350 x 135,600 resolutions at 128bit color. I know there are only 16.7 colors that the human eye can see, but this card will be so advanced it will be able to create even MORE colors.
It will be called the Cobraforce 9 Ultra Pro Deluxe, and will retail for about $4.95 US. And it will only be available in ISA.

i would create microsoft ... ohh wait thats been done already ..
I would design a PC with all optical connections so the PC would run fast, cool and to upgrade, you would keep the basic box and bus and change the laser to make it faster. I would also utilize the Einstein Podolsky Rosen theorem which would allow instant communication over vast distances, the ultimate peer to peer network, spanning the universe.
How about an evil little troll that lives inside the case. And when the (L)user does something wrong it jumps out and bites them.

I'd invent a super-cheap/super-fast fiberoptic line. Home and business PC's would just consist of a monitor, keyboard and mouse hooked to the line. All hardware would be run off supercomputers elsewhere.

A helmet integrated with a PC that would move cursor to the place you thought of, type whatever you say in your mind, browse using same technique. I guess I want to get rid of leashes (KB, and the rat) and sit further from the screen than 2 feet.
A "radio" modem-addon that plugs into a conventional analogue modem so I randomly use all the bandwidth in the air seeping from power lines and radio frequencies to "dial-into" my ISP while I am travelling and/or in a place without a regular phone line.
I know this is wildly fantastic..but I can see its applicability...
For something more serious:
An ambiant light powered notebook/PC...unless there is total darkness...no need to worry about batteries or ac adaptors again...
An intelligent power switch that refuses to boot the machine for anyone less intelligent than it is.
