I've always needed more bandwidth then i had. For example when i was on dial-up i would still manage to download about a gig of data per month. Now that im on cable ill download like 14 gigs and upload like 4 gig (local limits are 1 up and 5 down). By the second day of this month i had done 1 gig upload.
Anyone else blow through alot of bandwidth then look back and say whoa where'd that come from? Or am i just a baud junkie?

I used over 3Gb of bandwidth just on this forum a few weeks ago. Didn't go to any other site or download anything else, just to see exactly how much I did use.
i wish i had bandwith again...

I downloaded over 2 gigs per day & upped well over 300 megs, but now I might use 5 or 10 megs per day (I went from warez-a-holic to windrivers addict).

I used to be pretty bad with warez and whatnot but since mirc gave the dsl and then the cable service that I use the boot, well that put an end to that.
Now it's just movies streaming in at the 300k speed via the net. Broadband companies don't like streaming video as it "clogs the pipes" so to speak.
Im with you on that one Joker, my cable has a 5gb download and 1gb upload, but never once have the ISP complained! And NO im not a big warez monkey.

actually alot if it isnt warez per say. its usually movies or episodes. It gets pretty hard to draw the line when you got a 30gig harddrive and a burner to fall back on.

Our school put on PacketShaper, which makes it pretty hard to abuse bandwidth. If they don't want you to download something, they can set it at low priority and if you are hogging bandwidth you get throttled down. At home my connection is so slow that I usually don't bother downloading things unless I really need them <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
