I'm just curious, because it seems I've run into quite a few people in NC here at Windrivers. Why not sign the roll here if you're in or near North Cackalackee? I'm in Charlotte, myself.

I'm not from NC but I spent a few years in Elizabeth City while I was in the USCG.
Beautiful state. Passed through Charlotte quite a few times. I had a friend who was from Winston Salem, we'd ride our bikes from E. City out that way almost every weekend.
Nope, Washington state here. I spent some time in Charlotte almost two years ago...nice people, nice city. Too hot and humid, though. I'll stick with my cooler clime here... :)
Was stationed at Camp Lejeune for about 4 years, does that count? Partied at ECU, UNC, and NC State constantly.... :D
I miss it.
I thought our state was called North Caralackie. hee hee. Yes, I am North Carolina. I live in Raleigh myself. I believe Kyron lives in Lumberton, NC. For those thinking of moving to NC, don't.
No, but I am real close (Va Beach).
I'm in NC, I live in the old person town, look for a lot of Buicks, Olds, Caddies, Lincoln's, golf courses, once you see that look for the guy on the motorcycle and thats me :)
I'm originally from NY though.
Put me down for that list, i'm not actually from NC, i'm from virginia...but i've been living in this hick town for 12 years now.
As stated in an earlier post...if you're thinking of moving here....DONT
Let's see...Renee, NakedMessiah, Thirdfey and Kryon...
Nope, no reason to go to NC anytime soon.
J/K :D :D :D :D
I've got relatives in Forest City, Asheville, and Charlotte. Does that count?
I was in Chapel Hill for a weekend. Beautiful place. Just not North Eastern enough for me.
Born and raised in Wilmington then met my blonde haired, blue eyed California fiance and relocated to Sacramento.
I still laugh when the weather man here talks about how high the humidity is going to be. 90 degrees here feels like mid 70's in the Carolina's.
Yeah I did sometime at camp Lejune, glorious Jacksonville home of the $25 cab ride just to get to the main gate.
Cobra....what's up with the new avatar???? Had to check the name...didn't recognize ya....
censorship by mods prevents me from making a proper reply to this :PQuote:

Just south of you guys and gals in Lancaster, SC. We have one of the largest textile mills here (Springs Industries) and a Duracell plant, among other things.
Ahhh, InsaneMonkey. A reason to NUKE North Carolina.
I still remember some more people from this neck of the woods, but I can't remember their usernames right now. Maybe they'll show up sooner or later. Maybe we can all start our own little support group.
Yes, I suppose it COULD be more like hell in the summer somewhere like Dallas, but I never want to find out.Quote:

Oh, yeah. ECU...that's my hometown. Plenty of partying to be had there. Not necessarily top-quality partying (there are about 10 small bars, all within a two-block area), but hey...it's partying nonetheless!Quote:

I would agree that there are not many reasons to go to NC anytime soon, but it has nothing to do with the ultracool Windrivers inhabitants of the state! I see that I will have to deal with Cobra on this one...alone...in a dark place...with no witnesses. Coooooooome here, snakey snakey snakey!Quote:

Renee, I kid. You know I love ya. Now put down that lead pipe and wipe that glazed-over psychotic look off your face. Please? :eek:Quote:

I spent several days at the McGuire Nuclear Station about a year and a half ago. They wanted to know the logistics for handling plutonium based mixed-oxide fuel in their plant instead of standard uranium dioxide fuel. This is one example of the kind of work that I do. Yee-haw! Nuke 'em till they glow!! :DQuote:

Renee, you talk of ECU experience. Remeber Milano's? Loved that place. Did anyone actually eat pizza there???
The Attic.
The Two Step.
ahhh....so many memories.
:D :D
Come on, they didn't know that?!?!? I mean really, how is the flux capacitor going to work without plutonium and on top of that, the standard stuff is too heavy, the delorian would never reach 88mph so it wouldn't have a chance of going back to the future. Idiots!!! don't they know this!!!!!Quote:

I love to go to N.C. and drive on the beach and visit all the light houses. Beautiful place!
No, they didn't know, and were quite embarrased by their ignorance. But I guided them down the straight-and-narrow path... :cool:Quote:

I live in California, but my grandparents live in North Carolina.
I was born in Gastonia, NC.
But then I moved to Iowa when I was but a wee babe.
So, thankfully, my genes aren't from here! <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
Whoah! What a trip down memory lane! I practically lived at Milano's for a while. I never got pizza (are you kidding?...you seen the people that make it?), but I threw down some $3 pitchers of Busch Light. The Attic...wow...Texas Two-Step...wow. You just took me back bigtime...Quote:

I'm close to Charlotte. Greenville,SC to be more specific. Might have to move to Charlotte once I get my MCSE though to get a decent paying job.
