Who wears glasses????
I was digging around thru an old girlfriends stuff(don't ask) that she left at my house and found the eye-glasses that I'd been looking for for a long time. As I knew I'd need them for my drivers license renewal and didn't want to pay for a new pair, I was quite pleased to find them, but it got me wondering how many of us out there have bad eyes as a result of our profession.
Mine aren't that bad, just nearsighted enough to not pass a licensing test without them, but I tend to blame it on the screen. How 'bout you???

I'd love to blame it on my work but since I got my first pair of glasses in 1964, I don't think that excuse will wash.... :p
-
Me, I do. I have a 2 different pairs of glasses and like to switch them back and forth throught the day to confuse people. It's fun to watch them look and try to figure out what is different.

I don't wear glasses anymore, but I do wear contacts. Without them though, I am as blind as a bat! :p
-
I wear glasses also.... since 4th grade. Without the glasses bats laugh at me and say "I can see better than you can"
Would love to get the laser eye surgery, but I had wondered how weird it would be not wearing glasses after 20 years!!

Same here...
I have only three problems with Glasses:
1. Kissing - (I pitty the girls, this could be very ache).
2. When Riding my Moto.
3. Falling sleep with them.

Almost blind as a bat, i think it´s genetic.
I wear tiny-oval-black frame glasses, although I used to wear Bill-like-Windowpane-sized ones.
-
I don't but I need them a lot..
-
Contacts...and girls say I'm hott w/out the glasses and my new hair-dew :-D

Been a proud Glasses Wearing American since 1970! First time I put them on was like HOLY MOLY this is what the world looks like! :D
-
I can't even read a newspaper without my glasses.
-
20/15 over here and I have the airforce pounding at my door because of it. I can see almost twice the distance that a person with "perfect" vision. I guess my nickname should be hawkeye rather than Bracius
-
Contacts actually, considering laser surgery (just wish insurance would conver it :( )
Been in glasses/contacts since third grade. YUCK!
-
I wear mine for astigmatism.
-
I had to get glasses 2 years ago for distance reading...now I wear contacts because I hated wearing glasses.
-
I've worn glasses & contact most my life. I have to wear them all the time. It sucks, I really want to get the lasic surgery.
-
been wearing glasses for about 2 years, previously wore contacts. but I was too lazy at nigh to take my contacts out regularly, and one really bad morning i woke up with a contact lost and the other WAAAY up in my eye socket, and after a few panicked minutes trying to get it out, i made the decision..glasses good. Went to eye masters got a pair ground...
-
Yes I wear glasses but I too can't blame my job as I got them when I was 5 or 6.

:D Boy, do I still remember THAT moment!! You mean grass is a whole bunch of separate leaves???? And trees have leaves??? WOW!

Worn glasses since 6th grade... Within a week of getting a new pair, I would either Break, Bend, Lose a screw, or Pop a lense out. The last three pair have been the same style which isn't made anymore, so when I get new frames, I'm going to have to look and look and look for one's I like.
I tried contacts, but I liked only having to take off my glasses (about 5 seconds) instead of taking out my contacts (about 3-5 minutes after washing, putting them in the container, etc.). Same thing with putting them on/in.

Yeah, I'm with you there...contacts are not for the lazy.....I frequently work 20 hours, anything I can do to save a little unnecessary effort.... :D

Glasses since the fourth grade 1968. I can't blame that on computers either, but I have learned that if you have a very slight tint put on your lenses it really helps with eye strain.....

im near sighted and far sighted which makes it real fun to try and walk without them on
