life ....
Nothing ticks me off more then ignorant people. I can deal with people who are not smart, computer trained or what ever. But I hate/detest ignorant people.
1) people who post with subject matter that is rediculous and just to increase their posting numbers.
2) people who reply to the above
Oops! thats me. ;)
Insane Monkey.
I hate people who refuse to merge into trafic, they can see the lane is going to end but keep on going to get that better spot. It just gets me so angry.
dude and you say I'm rough, that was like a sledge hammer to the face. LOLQuote:

Then what PI$$ES me off  even more is when they act like I did something to break the damn thing...
To those people I just agree and say...your right...I stayed late last nite JUST to break their machine and ONLY their machine....

People who refuse to take the time to learn but don't want to pay someone else to solve the problem.
3) People with too many URL's in their signature taking up half a browser windowsQuote:

It's not about hate it's about your rep, and thats the rep you have, like cobra has the evil rep, Jva has the avatar funny thing going, Q is the enforcer but knows how to have fun, Sowulo is just cool, Darren is all over the place but is funny as heck. The rep just sticks and is really hard to get rid off.Quote:

I have to aggree with you whole heartedly on that one Elbatcho. It's been hapening a lot around here with all the road construction going on this time of year, and it really pisses me off. I try not to let them in when I'm at the front in the good lane right where the other lane merges, they come flying up in the dead lane and try to get in, I inch forward so they can't. That usually makes me feel better. What gives them the right to do that when everyone else waits in line. Usually it's the yuppys in their sport uts that think they will get let in because they're bigger than everyone else. Get that friggin gas guzzeler out of the way and into the gas station before you run out in the next mile you twit!
Sorry, rant over.
P.S. Not everyone that drives sport utilities are yuppies, just the majority around here. :D No flames Please. :D
When you pry it from my cold, dead fingertips.Quote:

Well said, Elbatcho. We all have our own personality traits and our niche. We all fit it in our own way without trying. When you try too hard by imitating others, it really makes you look bad.Quote:

Oh yeah, compaq computers piss me off too.
You set yourself up, you try to hard and end up getting in the wrong peoples faces. Cobra's a big dog and if you want to walk in his yard you have to understand you are going to be bitten. You have done something wrong to fall from grace with Q because he is so easy going I think it would really take a lot to get him mad. If your changing your ways, then do it. You don't have to tell the world you are here to help because you want to feel worth while. We will like you for you. Stop trying so hard and let your actions be for the right reasons not for our approval. Be yourself, it will show in your post and in your help. The way I am in the forums is the way I am in real life. Be yourself (within reason) and don't worry about what other people think.Quote:

Elbatcho, since becoming a Tech God, you have become very wise, also. You've pretty much nailed a lot of things in this post.
Beware, The Sheriff is always watching :D :D :D

Congrats Elbatcho...I did not realize you had reached tech god status!! :D :D
Also...well said in your postings on this one! :D
Stupid rules and people who won't bend them.
What's the big deal with this monkey guy? I've seen some of his posts...doesn't seem too bad to me. If you guys hate him so much, wait until you see how annoying I can get! LOLQuote:

What pisse$ me off are clowns. Clowns absolutely scare the living hell out of me. I don't know what it is. I feel like they're going to come and eat me or something (GAHHAA@#$AA$%AAAAAAAAAHHH@#). Oh, well, maybe it's just me.
Humans. They should all be wiped out!
I know a girl who is utterly terrified of clowns. And she's 21 years old. She works at a bank, and they let the employees dress up for Halloween, and she went home early because one of her co-workers came dressed as a clown and it made her nervous.Quote:

Sadly, she's one of my best friends....
better pissed off than pissed on! hehe
Hmmm,... I thought this was a post about what pisses you off the most, but instead it seems to have turned into a gang of windrivers techs, ganging up one individual tech for historical reasons unknown to me. Anyway, I always read posts about how this is supposed to a helpful, non-flaming, type of nice place to get expert help. So anyway, just go easy everyone. It's alllll good. Make love not war maaaan!
BTW, traffic makes my skin turn green and all my muscles start growing until all my clothes tear off and I'm left with nothing on except a pair of torn purple jeans. "Traffic make CrueHead MAD!!!" "Raarrrrooarrrggh!!..." (I think I posted a topic about this a couple weeks or so ago.)
Nothing unusual, that's what they always turn into. Either that or some heated debate about whether Linux guys are too stuck-up or something about XP. Always usually everyone vs. me. Honestly, that's what pisses me off. ;)Quote:

hhmm....sounds like in your tag line (or whatever it is called) though Insane Monkey...you might be asking for it...
Stealing Evil from Cobra.....I doubt he will let that happen without a fight....good luck! :D
I don't need to say what pisses me off :D

Should be on the first page of the instruction manual for everyone who tries too hard to be liked and respected here (there are more than a few that I can think of....)Quote:

What pi$$es me off?
1) Elbatcho's merge topic--I agree, and the people who run red lights constantly around here....
2) Anyone who posts a 'which is better' or 'which is best' topic--the moment I see one I know I'm going to have some extra moderating duties.... (which also means less time to just be one of the gang here)
One last time, it's not us vs you, this is not what this board is about. I avoid things that I can't backup, I avoid topics which I feel strongly on. I won't post on a topic unless I can help or have question. I read, I read alot. Just about everything posted in the techtips, windows 2000 and NT. I drift into linux but I would never dream of posting anything on that board because I don't know it. So what do I do. I see what people are talking about and try and gather information for the future. However in the tech lounge it's all personal stuff. It's about life and what we as people have gathered, not only as tech, but as people. We as group range in age and background and even nationality. What you have to ask yourself is why it seems we are "picking on you". I take a lot of lumps on this site, but that's because I allow it to happen. I will put something down that I know will get a laugh and someone will come back with something as witty. I never go after a person unless they attack us as a group. The one thing you must always keep in mind that we are all real people and at some point you did something to fall from grace (I hate to use the same phrase twice but it works). What you have to do now is make a choice. Do I go on posting and getting these harsh replies, or do I change my ways and do the right thing. The big thing I can surgest is when you go to post think about what people are going to say about the information. I have posted some bad info, I have posted things which people disagree with, but through trial by fire I have worked myself up to the point that I feel like I am in control of the information I am posting, and that the things I am posting will not offend anyone. Remember you are working on borrowed time. I seem to remember that you were removed from this site at one point in time. So the only thing I can surgest at this point is to think before you post, try not to get yourself into debates you can not win, and read the information in the topic before you post. This is not going to go away overnight, but with time you can make it a distant memory.Quote:

Thanks Elbatcho.
No one here is ganging up on you. I'm acting entirely on my own. Q's acting on his own. It's not like I PM Q in the morning and say "Hey, wanna bash Insane Monkey today?"Quote:

And Elbatcho is DEFINATELY not picking you, he's trying to offer you some help, and point out exactly what you need to do to be accepted around here, and become well-liked. Stop being so dense and listen to him.
You asked a question "What pisses you off the most?" I gave what I felt was a legitimate answer. I'm not going to drag out all the details here, because this isn't the appropriate time or place for it.
Just step back a bit. Quit "trying" to help and just HELP IF AND WHEN YOU CAN. This BS of posting blatantly misinformed and opionated replies when someone asks for help in the other forums has got to stop. Quit worrying about your post count, try to relax, and have fun here. Maybe then, every else will enjoy your presense here.
Mods, slap me, ban me, hang me, whatever. This needed to be said, so I said it....
Hey folks, just something to think about...I just came from the hospital. One of my best friends just died in a car-motorcycle accident. He was 45. I don't want to be maudlin here, but life is too short to sweat the small stuff. You may be 21 or 27 or 57, you are not immortal. Think about the people around you and what they mean to you. I'll give you an example...his family is far away. My wife is returning from a conference in San Diego tonight. Who did I turn to? My WinDrivers family. I know I don't post the most, but I try to help. I also know that the people here (thanks JVA for the "friends" page it's awesome, but I digress) are sincere, dedicated, professionals who care alot about their peers. I have been in this business a long time, and I've visited and participated in alot of forums. This, is by far the most helpful and friendly. Why would anyone want to harm that? Peace, Love, Dove. Sorry for the rant.
I'm so sorry cland, I know how that feels, is there anything we can do to help you out? Your right life is too short. I am glad you can turn to us, because we are here for you.Quote:

You just did. You asked.
I'm very sorry to hear that. Best wishes...no need to be sorry for writing that "rant" as you may call it.Quote:
