Just Curious to see who in the W.D. world is into Harry (or has kids who are)...
In USA the film opens Friday, Brits I think you got it already?
I have read all four books and loved them like mad. Hoping the film does justice to the story tho.

My Girl is madd into harry Potter..
I never read any of the books but I definetly want to see the flick! :)
The movie definitely looks interesting, but I don't think I'll go out and see it.
Not too interested in him myself but The Onion has a great write up on him! :D

heh that reminds me of something in reader's digest. One month they had a thing on Rowling and Harry Potter. The next month some woman wrote them a letter about how she could hardly believe that a magazine would publish stuff on satanic material, and how rowling said herself that she was a satanist. Well, the next month, she wrote back AGAIN saying that she was mad that her letter was shortened from its original form in which she has direct quotes from Rowling admitting her satanism and that she got the material from...you guessed it! Theonion.com
oh, to see that woman's face when she found out what the onion really was. scary to think though, what other nutty stuff she believed from the site. heh.
:D ROTFLMAO! :D
That's hilarious. I love to hear from people that think theonion is real.
I have a eight year old and me and him are currently reading the Harry Potter books now.
Taz me and our son will be there this Friday when it opens up here in the States.
And to the satanism stuff. I say , We instill values in our children not a movie not songs.
So I dont have a problem with this movie.
Where were these people when Casper the friendly ghost was with Wendy the witch ,way back when I was young I can remember that.
So Seeing Harry Potter were going.
I can asure that I wont have a spinning head vomit puking kid after the fact.. lol
I read and liked the first book back when it was still a little-known thing...now I think sadly, like many other things, it is becoming too commercial. I hope they don't beat this one to death too :(
I don't even know what the hell a Harry Potter is???
I am sick to death of Harry Potter!!!!!! Every single advert on TV is Harry potter this, Harry Potter that!!!
I have a funny feeling that ths is going to be another craze that is marketed to death and then disappear (hopefully!!!!)
notice how close it comes to crimbo people??? marketing pure and simple, along with the 2 follow ups, hate this marketing hype.....
Heh, are kids still into Pokemon these days?
I have heard that Harry Potter could over take Titanic in highest grossing movie of all time. I lost the link to the article, but basicaly cause it has a wider fan base than titanic had. I guess well wait and see..
I'm looking forward to seeing HP at the movies, but I htink I'll wait for the initial rush to subside.
The big movie for me this year is going to be LOTR: The Fellowship of The Ring, but that's because I am a great Tolkien fan.

I wouldnt be surprised if LOTR tops out harry potter, just because of the fact that it has been around a lot longer, and there are many generations of geeks and just ppl who like fantasy that are going to go see it

Harry Potter has millions of kids that are fans, and that's something that LOTR or Titanic had going for it. It will probably smash just about every box office record.
I predict that the L.O.T.R. Trilogy will be more sucessful and more loved than the Star Wars Films. They will be more respected by critics and other filmmakers. The films will be less corny and, thanks to the author, more emotional and well-written. I predict that these 3 films will have no equal!
They got my seven bucks already BABY!!
My mother, who is an Elementary school teacher, is big time into Potter. She's pretty excited about the movie, but dosn't go to the theaters often. Myself, I couldn't care less. Not my thing. Now, if only The Fast and the Furious could come out on DVD so I can finally buy the thing. Getting of watching it in the dollar theater! :D :D
