The old grunt-n-boobie show just ain't the same since Mick Foley retired... :( :( :(
yeah, i really miss Mrs Foleys baby boy. the things he would do to entertain the fans. amazing. i know wrestling has been on the down slide lately, but how many times do you get the chance to go to Wrestlemania in a lifetime?

That is cool!!! I went when they were in Houston several years ago. It was sooo sweeet. That was the one where the Rock and Stone Cold went at it for the title. Bad *** match, simply amazing.
Sad, but the past several months have just been boring and I haven't been watching at all anymmore.
Haven't been to Wrestling since SGT. Slaughter fought the Iron Sheik back in the early eighties. That's when wrestling was REAL. j/k
Anyway, I used to go to the Boston Garden some Saturdays to see Bruno Sammartino, George "the Animal" Steele, Chief Jay Strongbow...
Anybody else remember these guys, or am I just showing my age?

you think YOU feel old? i remember watching BoBo Brazil on saturdays...he head-butted people and called it the Cocoa-Butt. and no remote? i remember having to get up and change the alligator clip from the UHF antenna input to the VHF input to watch different stations.
Tacklebox remembers having to put the Sunday funnies over the tv screen to watch "color TV"!!!
AAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
We had a b/w tv with 2 stations, a coathanger wrapped in aluminum foil that went all static every time an airplane flew over. And we were thankful to have that.
that reminds me of a poem i dont remember the words to -
Grampa Simpson
I personally am hoping that Cobra has an extra ticket to his playboy playmate thingy. Playmates or Wrestling, hmm i dunno.
Maybe first go to wrestling then to meet playmates...

mmmmmm, if you'll excuse me now, i must be going
Yeah I miss Foley as well. What really upsets me about wrestling lately are the seemingly great storylines that they have going, then something happens where the whole story is scrapped e.g. Stone Cold walking out, Scott Hall getting released, X-Punk err Pac leaving. Kevin Nash and HHH tearing their quads altered story lines but that was from accidental injuries that really could not have been forseen.
To much political B.S. still goes on, and I think that the worse thing that happened to wrestling was ECW and WCW going out of business. That way there was at least some competition. Wrestlemania usually is the best of the year. The Rock vs Hogan was one of the best matches in many, many years. You could only get something like that from Wrestlemania.
Naw Tacklebox like you I don't pay any attention to it anymore. Last match I saw live (May 1976 - Richmond VA Coliseum) was Chief Wahoo McDaniel & Rufas "R" Freight Train Jones vs. Gene & Ollie Anderson for the World Tag Team Title and Ricky Steamboat vs Rick Flair for the individual title.Quote:

The Andersons won, but Steamboat beat Flair! Geez and I have a hard time remembering what I did yesterday, but I can remember trivia like that.
thats sweeeetttt! i really wanted to go last year at the skydome, i just never got my tics and other things came up. one of these days i will definately make it to Wrestlemania. its a goal of mine to make it one of these days. i love wrestling. i even thought about trying out for Tough Enough!! hey, how much were tics for the whole event. i thought theres something going on that whole weekend. we're in the "Gold" section and we're 12 rows from ringside. the tickets were $90 apiece. we could have gotten closer, but there are 6 of us going and we wanted seats together. we're also on the rail by the rampway leading to ring so we should be pretty close the "rasslers". the platnium seats in front of us were like $200 and up or something like that, but i heard you got to keep the chair you sat in.Quote:
