Hah! I fooled it! I refused to think of a number and clicked - of course it was wrong.... :D :D
saw that before..it is pretty cool how it works though
how DOES that work?
Okay, I swear I picked a number, did what they told me to do and it was wrong.
so yeah...how does it work? I did it 10 times and it was right 6 times.....
cool...
PM if you'd like to keep the answer out of the public eye.
It didn't work 3 times in a row for me?
Same for me...I gave up.Quote:

For those of you that it's not working for.....learn how to add and subtract!! :D
It's pretty cool, took me a minute to figure it out though!!
There's times that you can do the correct addition and subtraction and it still doesn't work right. Guess it doesn't work always.
Nope, it should always be right.
yeah. the rules of mathmatics won't let it be wrong. :DQuote:

I thought it made 1 mistake with me as well, but I don't know if it was a math error on my part or not, every time I double checked the math, it worked. Perhaps there are some spots in the pattern where it doesn't work after all.
For those of you who want a clue as to how to work this, here's a hint:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- choose zero every time and see what happens.
Oh, it must be the new math. I figured it out. Nothing too fancy about this one.Quote:

Hint: keep trying the same number over and over...

it always works. it's very teh gay
DUH on my part I guess a RTFM is on order, was doing it right. :D
Read only the first post (didn't want to spoil it) and figured it out on the 2nd try.
Very nice.
figured it out, pretty cool though
Kewl ..I worked it out the first time before I clicked but then the second time it sorta stumped me for a sec, then I got it.
ok i am completely clueless to how this works.
a lil help please :)
oh and it was wrong 70% of the time
Spawn, observation is the key.
try doing multiple numbers in one try, very suspicious, no?

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
keep trying~
i got theories, but they both don't fit in.
please tell me before i kill myself.
my logic skills are asleep at the moment from worrkiing for 24 hours straight

thanks to kato i get it now.
tricky, but amazing.
props to whoever did this.
That was really scary until I figured it out.
The flash code is set up to read whatever character you hover your mouse over the most.
Since most of us would do that when we are looking to see what symbol corrosponds with what number. The symbols change with each try, so that you have to hunt for the one for your particular number.
If you don't use your mouse to point out the symbol/number you are "thinking" of, the accuracy drops dramatically... :)
Overall, brillantly done.
Interesting theory, but totally incorrect. The only way the accuracy will drop is if you do your math incorrectly.Quote:

Not even close, it's more a game of simple mathmatics and confusing the user with different symbols. Any answer that is wrong, means you didn't follow the instructions or are bad at math.:DQuote:

to prove this, take any result and add add the digits together, you are always going get the same result(unless you choose the 10-19 range, then that is the result)
In hindsight, it seemed like a good idea at the time.. :)
I guess the only way to really find out then is if someone has Macromedia flash and could open it up...
took me a while but i figured it out...
It's a lot less complicated than you might think :pQuote:

I got it after a few times. I knew it was something mathematical. But my math sucks so I just kept plugging away. :p :p
