Welcome back!
Hell huh? What do you have to do when you are active in the military? Is it really that bad?
Hey Gabriel, nice to see you again, hope all is well
So your time in the reserves ended just before the crap hit the fan, huh?
Someone's looking out for you, I guess! ;)
Shalom.
welcome back!
First of all I thank you all ;)Quote:

ilovetheusers - Yes it is bad. I am a combat Engineer (Land Mines, explosives, sabotage Etc.) Usually on the Gaza strip. It is really interesting job but quite dangerous. Also, I personally think that this situation with the palesinian has gone too far. Both people has to understand that killing each other won't do any good.
I just envy most of the "reasonable" countries in which people in my age never had to carry a gun, act in a combat, see their friends getting killed. It is pure madness.
Now I am back from this hell - until next year I think I have time to relax. Maybe I will go on vacation - I guess I need one.
Most of all - all of you - keep up the good work.
Afraid to shoot strangers (Iron Maiden, Fear of the dark),

ever think of emigrating?
Yep the thought crossed my mind (few times).
but you are no leaving your home when it is in bad shape...
I hope you didn't volunteer for that job...Quote:

I always wondered why you didn't post your opinions more about the situation that your country finds itself in and the issues that cause all of the turmoil in the first place. I guess that living the reality of the situation makes posting opinions on line seem a major waste of time. You know - it's not many people that make me actually stop and think with only one or two sentences but you usually can.
Welcome back Gabriel!!
Hope the War over there isn't causing too much grief for you guys.
I have a friend at work called Edit.Quote:

Edit had to serve in quite a few places including Gaza, it's hard for me to understand like you said how she in particular could come to see combat in that way.
Edit is so tiny! She must weigh in at about 7 stone when soaked through. She's tiny and my mind boggled when I saw a picture of her in full combat gear holding a gun that was far too big for her to manage.
..CRAZY..
I'm glad that you are back too. I hope that you have a nice holiday and that you are happy.
