Welcome back Directory - how was boot camp?
Damn dude, ho longs it been since your last post?
Aaaaaaaaaaah - a ghost! :D
Welcome back, DiR. Glad to have you on board again.
Couldn't kick the habit, huh? :p
Boot camp, i have been trying to forget about it. The joys of getting up at 0415 being screamed at and going to bed at 1000 after hearing taps, what fun. I scraped the floors with a ruler ( to clean of course ) made sure my bed was in tip top shape, no strings on the uniforms, latrine spotless, boots shined, shirts folded into 6 inch squares, PC everyday, getting yelled at in the chow hall, pushups, shots, etc...
It sucked. But I guess it could have been worse, I could have been in marine boot camp :)
Of coarse the PC you refer to is Physical Conditioning - not a Personal Computer - you forget this is a geek site :p
Welcome back.

One question, when did PT become PC?
When I was in the Marines we had the PC Platoon in boot camp. That was where all of the fat bodies went. The rest of us just did PT... :DQuote:

3 miles, 18 minutes or better was a perfect score, I can’t remember, I think 28 minutes you failed
You had 2 minutes to do 80 sit-ups for a perfect score.
Pull-ups, 20 was a perfect score. No time limit, as long as you stayed on the bar. Also I never kipped, dead hang only, but the standard was you were allowed to kip. I think that was done away with recently, now everyone does dead hang pull-ups.
The combined total of everything had to meet a minimum, and you couldn’t do minimum in all three categories. Infact, if you hit minimum in two you failed, even with a perfect score in the third.
The difference in the Marines was that we strived to get the perfect score, so it is hard to remember the bear minimums…
