I have to spread the joy...
My partner and I bought a house! Take possession Sept 1. There, now that I let some of the joy out, I won't bust.

That's either dense, rude or funny, but I'm not sure which. Prolly a combination of the 3. :DQuote:

Partner as in "life mate"; the person with whom I plan on spending the rest of my life with. I don't find it a rude question, just a curious one.
I'd love to post pics of our house, but not sure how to do so. And the counter suggestion is just plain cool!
So you want me to put a counter in my signature for you??
OK, first off you need a bit of webspace to load the pictures on, then you use the img tagsQuote:

You have to take the spaces out - spaces had to be put in for the example to show up.Code:[ img ]http://mypicshere.com/picname.jpg[ /img ]
If you don't have webspace ask on the forum, a few of us have a few mb to spare :D
Congrats on the house... 1st sept may sound a long way off, then suddenly it's here and you are not ready.... :D
You can also use http://www.imagestation.com/ and just paste a link in the HTML code.
Most ISPs offer a small amount of personal storage space for you to host your own personal website. Check your ISP to see if you have any personal space. Then buy a copy of HTML for dummies. Thats what I did, was incredibly easy to make a basic web page with thumbnails to a few pics I wanted to share.Quote:

Just don't load your page into MS Frontpage or you'll be sorry!
Yeah, I'm going to make a 3rd e-mail account and use that for the creation of webspace. This way, any mail that is associated with the web page is all sent to one account = no spam in other mailboxes.Quote:

When the page is all finished up, I'll post a link so y'all can go take a looksee. I'll include pics of the house. :D
So, Frontpage is that bad? Guess I'll have to brush up on my HTML. I took a couple of courses a few years ago, but that was basic stuff. But it should be more than enough to get me going.
As opposed to wife/husband, girlfriend/boyfriend? I like your perspective on things, without universal terminology you did spark my interest as to what you meant. Congratulations…Quote:

You do know us Canucks are way too politically correct, eh? :rolleyes:Quote:

As for Frontpage I don't know that it's really all that bad. If you use its full functionality it is probably a great program. There was a thread a few days ago called ugghh.... why me? where people were trashing Frontpage for various reasons.
I didn't like it because it took my nice simple 25 line html page and added like a hundred lines of superfluous garbage that made it impossible for an html rookie to maintain the page anymore. On top of that it was nice enough to add full paths to the thumbnail pics I was using. Of course since I was creating and updating the page on my local pc then uploading it to my webspace, those paths didn't work any more.
If you're interested in looking my personal page is at Cisco's homepage Feel free to use the html, just insert your name, title, thumbnail and image file names over mine.
I recently got a new digital camera and I wanted to share some of the shots I had taken. Basically a few shots of me, my dog, and some Tucson night skies.
Nice pics Cisco.... I borrowed one for wallpaper, hope you don't mind! :D ;)
I don't mind at all, in fact I'm honored and very pleased that you like them. I've been trying to get more lightning shots but our monsoons haven't been very impressive recently.
Cool!! Thanks alot, just checked back, like the new sunset! Bookmarked it so I can check back now and then. I'm always lookin for new wallpapers! Have the lightening one on now! ;)
