Urkh. :eek2:
Couldn't that be considered a "manufacturing" or "engineering error"? :(
I would have to think so. The seat should never come so far forward as to hit the windshield...What car is this, and how new?Quote:

sounds like you need to take it to the dealer and have them put a new windshield, who knows, maybe you start a recall on that car !!
heeh well its correct.. I replaced the seats there not stock they have a higher back, also the car is 1983, so no warranty :)
it was all my fault oh well
I just got a qoute for a new windshield
$120 - not to bad....I was thinking $300
not sure how it works in your state, but here in florida, as long as you have insurance on your car, the insurance company will replace the windshield for free or for less then $10. my co-worker broke his windshield and had it replaced by the insurance company for $2 and even came to the parking lot of the hospital to replace it.
you might want to check into that.
Me too. I once did not put the hood down properly on my wife's car. We made it about 100 yards before it popped up and destroyed the windshield. It was 100% my fault, but the insurance company still paid minus the deductable. Around here, the glass companies overcharge the insurance company for the windshield, then they refund you part of your deductable. I think we were out under $100 in the end.
Your quote sounds really good if you end up having to pay for it.
