When I want to use Computer Management --> Disk Management in W2K on my dual boot (XP & W2K) I get the message: Failed connection to Logical Disk Management Service. It does work under XP. What can I do to correct this?

Are you dual boot on the same partition?
In Computer management > Services: Check if the service is started, for some reason it might be set to disabled or manual.... or just didn't start.Quote:

So are these installs with 'default' services, or not ? & err w2k ? w2k 'what' - server, workstation .... (again different services running by 'default')
No, no dynamic disks
Sometimes when you load 3rd party disk defrag software (Like disk keeper) and then remove it, this will happen, but i have yet to find a fix for it
I have Partition Magic installed, could that cause this problem?
