Trouble installing XP Pro
Installing XP Pro:
All new equipment:
P4 2.6/800FSB
512mb Kingston HyperX Dual Channel DDR400
Asus AGP ATI 9600se Video
3com PCI Modem
Intel D865PERLL mb
WD 7200, 80gig 8mb Buffer
Start install of XP Pro and get blue screen as it goes through initial process and saya "A problem has been detected....". The STOP message says:
0x0000007E (0xc0000005, 0x, 0xF89D6BD8, 0xF89D68D8)
pci.sys - Address F853A30D base at F8537000, DateStamp3b7d855c
I have the video card in and Modem. Drive is fresh and unpartitioned.
Should I take the modem out? Will there still be a concern?
i'll put my money on the ram..
i have had this happen to me twice, and both times it was ram that was working at one point but did not like the new configuration.
so, whoever is running the book, put me down for ram.
