Can't beat that, but last weekend had one with 731. Used dialup too.
271 :thumbs2:
I didn't take a screen shot though :P
352 w/ spybot. didnt take a screenshot though.
Personally the most I've seen is a little over 500, but one of the guys had one that was 2100+.
I had a guy with a wireless cable modem with no firewall last year who had 2736 of them, but I did not take a screenshot.
I told him he was number 1.
I used AdAware.
Okay Gang,
I got proof. I was using the free version. Then I got the professional edition.

once had 1100 or thereabouts... and spybot found a hundred or two more...
and yes I deleted the quarantined files from adaware first :P
I'm scanning a system right now that I'm pretty confident will break the record. This user is on cable & has loaded everything and anything that he could think of. This includes free minutes for AOL, MSN, etc. On startup, I saw Bonzai Buddy, Gator, and some wizard thing that stands there and talks to you (right next to friggin' bonzai buddy).
I'll post back with a screen shot when the scan finishes.
I had one yesterday that broke it... had like 1240 and I tried to get a screenshot but there were viruses on the computer at the time and it had someone messed up copy and paste including the printscreen functions, also stopped it recording settings and info... rather convenient I know but it's what happened... but no proof... I tried :)
WAS it a variation of MSBLASTER Virus...Arch0n
symptoms sound familiar
That the virus we had floating around @ the college for 2-3 weeks...
I'm pretty sure the machine was win98... I'd have to consult my "notes"... :)Quote:

DAMN!
I knew I should have taken a piccy of that!
Yesterday after running AdAware for 2 hours on a users machine, it came up with 1500 or so item!
Soo close...
pr
anyone else had a problem with Ad-Aware crapping out when it finds lots of stuff on win9x? cause I had one that had 1300+ on it today and if wouldn't let me clean it up it kept freezing on me. So I had to do it in "chunks", let it detect 200 or so then abort, clean those, then start all over again. I've had it happen a few times, generally on older machines (P2 and lower P3s)
Hey Pinhead, as you haven't posted back I assume it's still scanning 10 days later. You MUST have the record by now! ;)Quote:

Ah well.. It seems when it's that much of a number it's almost always cookies doing it.
I mean, is there even 1000+ spy-ware programs anyways?
And even if there were, i mean there's no way they could all be running at the same time!

sorry about the poor QL. Hopefully when it gets done removing everything I can get you all a better screen shoot with the log. :)
And yes that 21509 objects found. And No its not my system its a customers
Edited looked at the logs and most of those objects is from the Netsky.c virus. guess it was to many to be true
When you give back their system they will call and complain, that their Kitty Cat mouse pointers, and smileys are gone.https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

Haven't checked here in a while & thought I had the record today, but I guess 5114 is only enough for second.
Will post screen shot when I have a little more time.
well here is the current record for the shop i work at. we ended up having to scan this computer 4 or 5 times to get it all removed.
for a record of 7,869 pieces over 1,000 of them was just enters in the registry.
adware record 11/15/04 7,869 removed
How long did it take to boot to a useable state with that lot onboard?Quote:
