Your neighbors...

Here's a good thread for discussion. How many of you have strange/odd/or just plain ol' weird neighbors. Everyone has at least one neighbor that seems a little off their rocker as compared to the rest of the neighborhood.

Like recently we found out that our next door neighbor was a MAJOR pack rat. She basically turned her house into a garbage house. They had some city workers that were ordered to clean out her house about 3 weeks ago. They moved the old lady out and she was told that she had ZERO opinion about what stayed and what went.

My mom was talking to them one day and they had told her that they have never seen anything that extreme before. She had bags of garbage stacked chest high with little paths so that she could still walk around. They said the smell in there was so unbelievable that they HAD to take fresh air breaks (even though they were wearing masks). In the end, they filled up nearly 2 dumpsters full of trash and junk. How the hell could someone live like that?!

We really don't have anything all that bad. We just got a little old lady next door that lost her husband a couple of years ago. She makes us cake and cookies and we help her out with heavy stuff and just generally look out for her and make her feel better. Heck, we are probably the odd ones, suburban heavan with three dudes, two cats, 6 cars....

I wouldn't p*** on mine if they were on fire!

Actually that's a clinical mental disorder when someone goes to that extreme. I'm not sure of the exact name, but it's something like OCD.
There was someone in my town that was in the same situation. The city health inspector condemned the house, it was so bad.

In the neighborhood we live in now, no worries. However, in a our earlier years, we've had some whoppers. In our first place, the downstairs neighbor was the one who stole my tags off my car and got caught by the police with them. Plus, he used to beat up his girlfriend (always late at night).
At our second place of residence, we had neighbors who would fight (late at night again). This time there were kids involved. we called the police alot regarding these people. Once on Xmas Eve, the fighting was so bad (plus the poor kids were crying) everyone called the police.

I hate my neighbours... except for the tasty bit of totty that lives 2 doors away, now she's welcome to stay anyday of the week..... :p

They basically naff me off because of the following:

1. They all have motorbikes and sit in the garden, drinking beer and revving them for no apparent reason....

2. They invite all their work colleagues and sit and stare at the wife and I whenever we are in the garden (soon to be remedied by the install of 6ft fences)

3. Their kids p1ss me off by asking why I'm cutting the grass.... (again remedy 2 above)

4. The fact that they play the Bon Jovi "This Left Feels Right", and sing along, when it quite clearly is the worst bit of drivel they have ever produced (soon to be remedied by a loan of a Sledgehammer) ;)

I'd love to live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours, then my wife, my Les Paul and I could live in peace..... :drink:

I've killed and eaten my neighbors. End of problem.

Unfortunately my landlord doesn't take care of the house I'm in very well, so I'm the odd/strange neighbor given the outside appearance. All I'm missing is a rusted out Chevy on blocks in the front yard and we've got instant white trash! I'll be happy when the sale of this house goes through and I can fix it up and no longer be the embarrassment of the neighborhood. :sad:

I am the weird neighbor. Loud music, loud vehicles, working in the garage with air tools until 3am. People are going to throw a party when I move out.

I understand that. For some reason, all of our neighbors love us. It is actually very funny. We are good friends with our next door neighbors. The people across our alley has actually made comments to our neighbors about how using a gas leaf blower is harmful to the enviroment. Funny, he has never said a word to us with all of the cars, motorcycles, scooters and the golf cart. And that is not counting the gas powered lawn tools! :thumbs2:

We don't talk to our neighbors in the apt. complex much but we have the kid downstairs that has decided that the back of the hallway was his and his friends 420 club. Well, the GF is alergic the gange' so I've had to yell at them. The idiot was haning out with our little one with a nice big baggie on him so she doesn't hang out with him anymore.

Yeah, so I've got the whole role reversal thing going on now. When did I get so old? :sad:

We've only been in our house in Eagle River for 2½ years, but we have been there the 2nd longest amount of time in the neighborhood!. No we are not bad neighbors!https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/02/1.gif Eagle River is a huge military community and most of our neighbors serve 2 year hitches and then off to another assignment. Interesting thing now is that several of the houses have been sold to non military families and they are staying.

I rekkin the only weird thing I've noticed in any of my neighbors is the guy who lives behind me practices his fly fish casting off of his back deck into a kiddie wading pool. I guess that's not too weird, but his kids are in the pool. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif

On the left, there's a crazy old lady who keeps a blue jay as a pet.

On the right, there's a house with about a dozen illegal mexican immigrants.

Across the street there's this egotistical jerkoff who is always bitching about everyone else in the neighborhood screwing up his property value. He mows his yard twice a week from the first week in march through Thanksgiving.

I had a neighbor kill my Dog.. He was upset the a 6 pound Jack Russel was on his 250 Acres.... So he put rat poison in ground beef at fed it to my dog...

I left 20 pounds of dry wall nails all over his 2 mile gravel driveway in spring... Just to say thanks

You should have repeated with 50lbs in the summer when the ground was hard!

The only neighbor's I liked was when we lived way out in the boone's
and the closet one was 1/4 mile away , next was about 1/2 mile . :bor:

The hell with that, I would've done that every couple of weeks or so. Especially in the winter. Nothing is worse than changing a tire in the freezing cold.
