Let's keep it simple. This poll only covers the time leading up to the war. It is asking whether Bush made any statements that IN YOUR OPINION he knew were not true.
This poll will expire in ten days.

I think you're missing the word "deliberately".
Don't forget that alot of Congressmen and other nations were also "duped" into saying things that were not true.
Like this guy:
"In 1991, the world collectively made a judgment that this man should not have weapons of mass destruction. And we are here today in the year 2002 with an un-inspected four-year interval during which time we know through intelligence he not only has kept them, but he continues to grow them... .The threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but as I said, it is not new."
Sen. John Kerry (D.-Mass.)
Foreign Relations Committee member
Floor speech, Oct. 9, 2002

However, the inspections resumed. And the wmd were destroyed (or sent away) and Bush who had promised he would ask for a UN vote didn't ask cause he knew he would lose so he broke his promise to the American people and Congress and courageous Senators like Kerry who had voted with Bush when he promised he wouldn't go without a vote decided that without the UN and without the wmd being there that we shouldn't go.Quote:

I don't think George knew what was really going on. I still don't think he knows what's going on. When really important top level security meetings are taking place, I picture them giving George a slinky or something and having him sit in the corner playing with it, all the while just amazed at the super neat toy they have given him. Maybe one day it's an etch-a-sketch, maybe another day it's a rubix cube. Who knows, but I think Dick Cheney deliberately mislead people.
WTF????https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/02/1.gif are you talking about now techs???Quote:

Ever heard of UN resolution 1441? It was a month after your boy said that. And Bush didn't get that second resolution (which wasn't neccessary) because France, Germany and Russia wouldn't go along because of their oil deals.Quote:

If he knew Bush lied, why didn't he vote against the measure in Congress? Your logic makes no sense. Presented with the facts that Kerry said this, you still weasel your way out of facing the truth. No wonder no one respects you.
I have to admit that I think it is possible that Bush is merely stupid, not evil, and that those who hold his puppet strings are the ones who deceived us deliberately...

This quote probably represents my take on it: Never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to stupidity.
My $0.02, keep the change.
Stupid topic. BS, BS, BS.

Which once again, was the reason for disarming in the first place?Quote:

Like the Cleet one says, Bush the first is really to blame. President Clinton continued his (Bush's) policy of containment. We had a large coalition of troops there that could have finished the job in 1991, instead we stopped. Does that make George Sr weak?Quote:

The first thing that comes to mind is that we would destroy any country that would help someone attack us. Oh wait, we destroyed them anyway. Maybe we'll encourage others to attack us now, seeing how we attack other countries unprovoked.Quote:
