How bout they both suck! Neither one can sing for crap in my opinion. I think they would be better as an instrumental group. (I am not a fan of that weak fogey rock, so I may be a little biased)
They both have their good points...Quote:

The world would be best suited if run by Axl Rose.

The Rolling Stones are the best band that ever existed.
My professional opinion is that Jitbob is out of his mind. He is 0 for 3 on his opinions, and none of them are even close to being right!
I have a nice Camaro and love to scuba dive in cold or warm water, I'm not totally out of it yet! https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

He had a harmony with the lead guitar that was so tight you thought his voice was an instrument…yet he could rap with the best too.
Two great singers in their own way…to chose one would have to be by preference alone. By that, I pick Roth!
Led Zeppelin wrote the greatest song of all time so I'd have to say that they are the best band ever. Van Halen is cool too.

i like both versions of Van Halen, but i can't stand any of DLRs or Sammys solo stuff :barf:
i don't know about the SB but the Seahawks are gonna stomp all over the Bucs on sunday. jitBob, are you gonna try and get tickets to the Seahawk/Cowboy MNF game?
Early Halen is best. WTF do they want synthesizers for?
Though I've got to admit, "Why can't this be love?" kicked serious ***.
I always thought DLR was a bag of hot air. He always had those high-pitched squeals somewhere in each and every song. Maybe the young girls loved it, but I sure didn't. Van Halen hit it huge because of that guitar. At the time, nobody else was doing those things.
Anyway, at least Sammy can play the guitar fairly decent as well as sing and write lyrics. I really liked his early stuff with Montrose. Their first album really kicked @ss!
I hear Van Halen's coming to San Antonio. Talking about them makes me want to go see them. They've got Sammy with them on this tour.
As for the Stones, they have got to be the best show ever. Every d@m song is/was a bonified hit. Unreal.
Dave Lee Roth for the early stuff, Sammy Hagar for the more recent stuff.
If I had to choose, Dave would be the man. More of a frontman than Hagar with his wrap around the head microphones...
Van Halen ROCK!
All together now....
Jump, go ahead and jump....
You also forgot that you are a righ ranking officer! :thumbs:Quote:

The NHL Lockout will finally turn Canada's attention to other sports such as football.
You mean there was 2 different singers in Van Halen???..............here I thought it was the same sh*t the whole time!!! That really takes some skill to find a replacement singer who sucks just as bad as your first one!
Before all you long hair freaks who are stuck in the 80's start throwing your bandanna's and cans of Aquanet at me - I was just kidding!
(Well, partially - I know the whole story, blah, blah, blah - but I still think Van Halen sucks azz, regardless of who's singing.)
They'd best be careful not to repeat the fiasco of the Baseball strike we had years ago. Baseball fans got into the habit of watching other sports. I don't think MLB ever fully recovered its fan base. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

Van Halen is a legit RR Hall of Fame type band, and Eddie is one of THE best electric guitar players in rock.
That being said, DLR is a better Showman than Sammy, and they both have their good points, imho.
Agreed.https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2006/04/1.gif Never a big fan of VH, but fast Eddie is real good.Quote:

There's no good guitar music being put out these days that I can find. Is it hidden somewhere that I'm just missing it? Oh wait, the white stripes guy is pretty darn good and different from everything else out there. Still mostly crap besides him tho.Quote:
