That was a tough choice between the red rider bb gun and the tree burning down. I had to go with A Christmas Story. I also liked Bad Santa.
A Christmas Story was great! You'll Shoot your eye out kid! https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif BUT the greatest Christmas movie of all time. Well there is only one choice:
DIE HARD https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifhttps://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Although "It's a Wonderful Life" certainly is in the top 5 too. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2007/09/1.gif
I enjoyed christmas story, but I have to give the nod to christmas vacation.
"merry christmas.......sh1tter was full" https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Christmas Story is great, but how the hell can you not include It's a Wonderful Life on this list?
Die Hard 2 is a good Christmas one too.....https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gifQuote:

Toss up between Wonderful Life and Christmas Carol - the one with Patrick Stewart.
Gotta go with Christmas Vacation.

Wasn't "March of the Wooden Soldiers" also a Christmas movie?
I have always favored newer generation movies. Often, there is still plenty of story and "message", but soo much more realistic and entertaining in my op/-ed. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2005/03/1.gif
Last night, just before we retired for a "Long Winter's Nap", I was channel surfing, and found the animated version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", with the Dr.Seuss type animation, and narration by Boris Karloff.
Absolutely priceless!
On another channel, they had three and a half hours of a log burning in a fireplace. I bet they had astronomical production costs for that one, eh?
-"Miracle on 34th Street" the original black & white version with Natalie Wood
-"Scrooged" with Bill Murray
-"Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol" with Jim Backus
-"How the Gringe Stole Christmas" with Boris Karloff narrating
-"A Christmas Story" (the BB gun movie)
-"It's a Wonderful Life" with James Stewart
-"White Christmas" with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye
And, of course, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with Linus quoting Scripture and Scroeder playing those great tunes on the piano. Talk about bringing back childhood memories.
Gremlins
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Actually, thanks to SpikeTV I correlate James Bond with the Holidays
I agree, although I prefer the Christmas Carol with George C. ScottQuote:

"A Midnight Clear".
And the review from the editor on amazon.com
William Wharton's autobiographical novel of World War II becomes a moving portrait of war's madness in the microcosm of a small intelligence patrol on the German front in 1944. The unit, composed of high IQ soldiers, is sent to scout ahead. They discover a small platoon of Germans hiding in the forest, but these soldiers would rather fight with snowballs than guns and exchange Christmas presents instead of mortar fire. The young, rather unsoldierly Americans are offered the opportunity to "capture" the Germans without a fight--until a fatal misunderstanding plunges their efforts into tragedy. Director Keith Gordon, who also penned the screenplay, creates an unusually eloquent, offbeat platoon drama shot amidst the tranquil beauty of a snow-covered forest. His excellent cast includes future stars Ethan Hawke and Gary Sinise, with Frank Whaley, Kevin Dillon, Arye Gross, and Peter Berg rounding out the platoon. Though little seen upon its 1992 release, this moving drama received high praise for its vivid characters and delicately wrought imagery and remains one of the most powerful pacifist dramas of the post-war era
Da_Grinch with Jim Carrey!

Probably not a Christmas classic, but I'd have to go with da family's yearly tradition of Home Alone, seriously the part where that guy gets hit in the face with a shovel, pure classic baby.
