No bidding necessary!
Don't look like anybody has fallen for it though - the only bid is from a 0 feedback member, which I'm sure is probably bogus just to help the auction look more authentic.
Lamer!
Heh....

He has screwed himself over by having no grasp of grammar.
Bolded "includes" for emphasis. He just said that the picture comes with the following items. "Portray" would have left him safe, "include" leaves him legally liable.Quote:
You are bidding on a perfect picture of a used XBOX ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. The picture includes 1 (one) used XBOX with all necessary power/audio/video cables, 1 (one) standard XBOX controller, 1 (one) additional controller, and 17 (17) used games: Hunter The Reoconing, Nascar Heat 2002, Spider Man, Bruce Lee Quest of The Dragon, Shrek, Max Payne, WWF Raw, Dave Mira Freestyle BMX 2, All Star Baseball 2003, Halo, Dead Or Alive 3, Fusion Frenzy, NHL Blitz 2002 NFL 2k, NFL Fever 2002, SSX, and Oddworld Munchs Oddessy
Actually no, he said the PICTURE included those items, not the auctionQuote:

I wish I had thought of that
too much!
Search for Xbox picture on ebay and you will find lots of copycats
May he and his ill gotten gains burn in hell. :flame:
Yes, the sale of the picture does include those items, that is his problem. A picture can't include any physical item. Portray, display, represent, show. All good. Include implies a physical presence. Poor grammar on his part.Quote:

3,050. now.
OK, this is obviously recognized as a set up. Even if this was legit, who'd bid over $3k for that stuff?
What's funny is that Ebay is gonna expect thier percentage...
...and then find out its a bogus user.Quote:

worst part is, this one looks like he's gonna get away with it.
what a fokkin j*ck*ss.
No , they have been doing those kind of auctions (info for getting something free or cheap) for years , your link is one of the "all most scam" ones because he puts it small print , where most say it up-front , but many dumb-buts still bid as much as one would cost in the store because they read nothing  .Quote:

Oh well, on x-box picture for me today :)
Who would have guessed?
Is the picture about retracting your bids normal?
I Don't go to e-bay offen, but I've never seen that.
The last of these I saw, the "buyer" of a 1,000$ laptop picture offered the seller a photocopy of a voided check as payment. He seemed to think it was fair, no word on what the seller thought.
HAHA,, not only was the original auction a scam,, But the idiot had copied and re-used another scammers HTML.
Now in the past 12 hrs the original scammer has changed the pictures linked to his url a few times telling people NOT to bid.
Um,, the latest picture he has added/swapped is extremely graphic !
Im actually amazed Ebay hasnt totally removed the listing so it comes up as an invalid item. Last I had looked the guy had like 5000 hits last nite.
