Igot a message sayingmy keyboard battery is low and since then as you can see my keyboardis missing a huge amount of spaces, it's not metyping badly because I neverhad this before.
Would replacing the battery solve this? I'm really in a huge mess the drain pipes are broken I need to get the entire front ofthe house destroyed and the entire pipes replaced and I don't wanna loose more time going to buy batteries if you don't think that's theproblem.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I have a wireless optical mouse that likes to go through batteries. I thought rechargeable batteries would be the way to go. I have spares, so I always have a pair in the mouse and can even have a dead pair with one good pair waiting. For some reason they are not keeping the charge so now I'm back to Duracells in the desk drawer. :-(Quote:

It's not worth getting rechargeables to me since they last nearly a year.
If your rechargeables aren't holding their charge:
-Make sure they arent the cheap type that recharges only 25 times and that your 25 times are up
-Make sure to never let them drain until they die otherwise they'll never properly hold a charge again
-If they're nicad, get rid of them and get nimh or better yet, lithium

Actually, they will last longer if discharged completely as often as possible. Especially the NiCAD's with NiMH being the second worst offenders of that imfamous battery memory issue. Li batt's don't need to be discharged as often, but still do need it once in awhile.Quote:

Not the lithiums, that is suicide for lithiums and will kill it immediately. I thought only nicad needed that, and I've read discharging nimh often is bad as well.
Anyway, I can tell u my first pocket pc with maybe 4 hours battery life lasted 5-10 minutes after discharging it fully a few times. Lithiums should never be drained fully and should be kept as full as often as possible, and maybe one or two discharge/charge cycle per year.
Infrared? Might as well get wired instead of IR, I find IR much more trouble than wires.Quote:

The way to avoid the "memory effect" is to fully cycle (fully charge and then fully discharge) the battery at least once every two to three months. Simply leaving the device in the ON position and letting it run can discharge batteries completely. This will help insure your battery remains healthy. Once discharged, recharge the battery completely according to the manufacturer's instructions...
Exercise the Battery
Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time. We recommend using the battery at least once every two to three weeks. If a battery has not been used for a long period of time, perform the new battery break in procedure described above...
MY Wireless Optical mouse, came with a charger built into the base unit (wireless receiver) and with 4 batteries (NiMH)

Maybe I didnt explain it well, the receiver unit for the mouse (connected to the pc) can charge two batteries and act as a receiver at the same time, and they gave me 4 batteries with the mouse, so 2 in mouse, 2 in charger. I can never run out :D
