This will only give you the install not any of the software
Windows scanner and camera wizard will use it till you fins scanning software
Download and double click the file to install the drivers on your system BEFORE the scanner is connected to your system. Once the setup has finished, the scanner can be connected and Windows XP will detect and install the correct drivers automatically
Hello,
 The version of windows that I am running is Windows XP home, services pack 2.
That is the 5th time that I have tried to get the scanner to work but with no success.
I get a pop-up that says the following "The scanning software could not be found or your scanner is not connected. Please make sure that your scanner and your software are properly installed."
Yes the scanner is connected to the computer, because when I go to my computer there is a icon for the scanner.
:eek:I think the problem is that I do not have the software to make it work.
I only paid £6.00 + PP it is so frustrating not being able to use the item in question.
Regards.

If it's parallel, then it may be your settings for the parallel port.
Hi, I down loaded the drivers from the Packard Bell web so in theory they should be the right drivers..................as every thing I did was take from the instruction as the drivers installation instructions.
Regards. :eek2:
Now where did I put that TNT

Got Packard Bell Diamond 1200 plus working in Vista!
I have had problems with this scanner ever since XP SP2 but today I managed to get it working in Windows Vista!
Here's how to do it:
1. Make sure you have the product CD. If you haven't this can work with drivers found on the web, I have only tried with the CD-drivers.
2. Plug the scanner in.
3. Windows will ask for the drivers. Tell it to search for them and then specify a location. Specify the WinXP directory on the CD.
4. The scanner will install and work as a WIA scanner in windows. I have tested the scanner in Photoshop CS2 and it works.
If someone want to use the panel and other stuff you may trick the installation on the cd.
NOTE: The buttons on the scanner won't work with the installation procedure above.
