What is the best way to maintain this hdd? since part of it is ssd.
Not much different to a regular drive really. The 4GB of NAND RAM is used only to intelligently cache reads of small frequently used files. The data is persistent across power-downs but is cleared if the drive is formatted or defragmented (but it will also be flushed out if you repeatedly access data files). So just don't be too ready to defrag and that's about it.
So what is the best defrag to use.
I've never seen anything much wrong with the Windows defragmenter. It's not real fast, because it's very conservative about safe operation, but it defragments quite satisfactorily. People like other utilities, like Diskeeper or Auslogics free defrag, and I've used that one too. Whatever you use, settle on one and only use it, or you run the risk of wasting time and effort, as two defragmenters might just undo each other's changes.
